22.01.2022 Seriously. People of Merimbula. 33 of our beloved Mexican neighbours get Covid 19 in one day and it is therefore necessary to strip Woolies of all their toilet paper. Well done hoarders, you have learnt nothing. You are inconsiderate fools. And have a good night.

21.01.2022 1pm update. Not much brighter. Eden being evacuated. Many small villages devastated to the South. Broadwater and Pambula given warnings. Smoke and ash everywhere and thick.

16.01.2022 Nice 4pm afternoon, then this. Midnight at 5.30. Fishpen is a safe haven for all our evacuee guests from Pambula Beach and their kids, dogs and cats. Sorry Body Corp, gotta break the rules sometimes, they are very well behaved critters!! Ash and smoke is unbelievable, and I vacced the pool this arvo....what a waste of time! Anyway, we are still safe and in one piece which is more than can be said about some of our neighbours. Good luck to all.

15.01.2022 Not the NYE we expected. Nothing like a panic buy of petrol. Once you fill up you can't drive anywhere. All roads out are closed. We are safe at the moment, but good luck to some of our neighbouring towns..

08.01.2022 Hopefully Dictator Andrews will allow travel soon so that everyone can come and holiday in Merimbula. Love to see you all again. Beaches are great, golf is great, national parks are great. What a great place to holiday

05.01.2022 4.4mm of rain and the ash has turned to mud. Big clean up, but major danger has passed for the time being. Eden survived the fire that came from Victoria, not so lucky some of the little communities.

02.01.2022 Not much wrong with this weather. Blue skies, barely a breeze in the balcony at Nautilus. Winter accommodation from $450 per week. Hope it's nice and warm where you are!

01.01.2022 Can anyone explain why the boat ramp car park was full of tents and campers on Saturday & Sunday and caravan parks (like the one behind Nautilus) we're early empty? This one had 3 vans in the lower level. Boat ramp = one male, one female toilet. Caravan Park = showers, kitchen, toilets.. Thought a caravan park on Fishpen would make a great evacuation centre. Bad organisation, lack of communication, lacking community spirit? I have no idea, but we can do it better, surely.
