We all need to be reminded of the importance of this when reading our local paper or watching news reports. If you are charged with an offence, call us and book in for a free initial consultation. We can ensure your rights are protected from the outset.

10.01.2022 Our office is now closed and we are working remotely to continue to assist our clients with ongoing or new matters that may arise during this time. There have been changes to how the courts are operating, including restrictions on personal appearances in court. Thankfully, in 2020 technology has allowed us to advocate for our clients via telephone and videolink and we will continue to do so for the months to come. We are aware how stressful these uncertain times are for anyo...ne with matters before the courts, particularly those who might be in custody. We are still contactable via phone on 07 4409 1755 for any queries. We hope everyone stays safe as we all do our bit to flatten the curve and protect the most vulnerable in our community from coronavirus.

05.01.2022 The Criminal Code (Non-consensual Sharing of Intimate Images) Amendment Act 2019 was assented to in February 2019 and has been in force in Queensland for a few months now. In Queensland, if a person shared an intimate image or video without the consent of the person depicted, they would have been liable in most scenarios to be charged with a criminal offence, such as Stalking or Contravene Domestic Violence Order, if such an order was in place between those involved.
