Jacques Diodati, working on their art badges, and participating in team building activities and of course, having fun and playing games! 20.01.2022 On the 21st September 1991, #Armenia managed to escape the shackles of the Soviet Union and re-establish its Independence initially gained on the 28th May 1918,... following centuries of Ottoman Turkish rule and the Armenian Genocide of 1915. In recent years, the people have found their voice and defeated corruption during the Velvet Revolution in 2018, while today they are fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic and constant Azerbaijani aggression against the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Artsakh. Last year I was honoured to celebrate the Republic of Armenia's Independence with President, Armen Sarkissian and Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia. Today, I join the Armenian community of Prospect and Armenian's around the world in celebrating the 29th Independence of Armenia. This past year has been difficult on our scouts, but thanks to our dedicated leaders, scouts and parents, we’ve been able to have great times and laughs through a challenging year. 06.01.2022 Today on the 106th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide our Homenetmen Navasart Scouts proudly participated in the March for Justice calling on Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the Federal Government to recognise the Armenian, Greek and Assyrian Genocides perpetrated by the Turkish Ottoman Empire in 1915. We would like to thank all our Scouts who participated today. We are all proud of you. We Remember and We Demand.

02.01.2022 THIS PAST WEEK OUR SCOUTS celebrated and honoured our beautiful mothers with some Mothers Day themed Arts and Crafts! We started off with crafting paper roses and flowers and decorating Mother’s Day cards for the women we love most in our life! We topped our craft-filled evening with a classic Scout game of capture the flag!!

01.01.2022 Our Homenetmen Navasart Scouts have devised a new fundraising initiative to support our brothers and sisters in Artsakh and Armenia. Throughout the rest of this week, we will be accepting any recyclable plastic bottles, glass bottles and aluminium cans at the Armenian Cultural Panoyan Centre. Please bring recyclables that qualify for the 10c recycling rebate (it will be printed on the bottle) These will all be recycled and the funds will be directly donated to the Hayastan A...ll Armenian Fund.
