Previous year model (2008-12) ones are not compatible with this particular product as those models do have different audio spec although the exterior design is somewhat same.... 24.01.2022 Not a product promo video - Vehicle we've worked on is 2018 X6 model, which already had Apple CarPlay from BMW. What we did is simply making it full screen, not the split screen between CarPlay and iDrive.... The touch function / rest of iDrive features aren't affected with this update. They will all function as they should, just when you are in CarPlay the screen will show full screen with 5 icons per row, rather than 4. 23.01.2022 This is probably (hoping) our final update on SWC sync with our CarPlay / Android Auto Integration device, for Jeep Grand Cherokee's UConnect 8.4 audio. The device itself does not have such sync function, but with the SWC adapter we've developed: It now supports not just volume and track buttons of GC, but also phone call /hang up and voice command buttons as well, without requiring the bluetooth to be paired between the phone and UConnect.... Some of you may question that shouldn't that be a standard function of CarPlay / Android Auto - in fact it's not, when the product is an aftermarket one and the car was not meant to have such function. Again, our product is obviously an aftermarket one, and designed for pre 2019 JEEP GC models those didn't have latest UConnect 8.4 software.

FAQs and responses: Q: Does this work with any Toyota? A: Not every vehicle but most of models built after 2015. We are in Aus and there are still lots of Toyota models those never been imported / sold in here, we can't possibly check every single one of them as we don't come across enough info from overseas. Q: Will this update the software of the Factory ToyotaLink? A: Unfortunately no. Q: Is the installation plug and play? A: Not 'entirely' plug and play behind headunit, but at the same time won't require cutting / soldering either. Q: My car doesn't have the same dash and older series model, but If I purchase the same headunit and somehow installed it in the vehicle, will it work? A: The answer is No, and also We reckon It will be a waste of the time and money. You are better off with just getting an aftermarket headunit in that case. Q: Does this provide smartphone mirroring? Product used: https://www.naviplus.com.au//Mercedes-Benz-X-Class-NTG5-Au... Phones used : iPhone X / Samsung S10 Installed date : 6th of Oct 2020 @ Naviplus Workshop in Clayton. In this clip We've added the CarPlay & Android Auto, operating with not just the audio control knob , but also with touchscreen, by overlaying glass touch panel over top of the COMAND display. It's been actually available since 2017, just that we never did this on X-Class due to most of our previous customers preferred using just dial knob and buttons, and even us thought that the touch panel overlay might not be the ideal one due to the climate vent shell is covering the front of the display. But the work was as easy as we normally do on C / GLC models, and in fact the performance was just as great as any other Mercs we've done.

With the Android Auto, at this stage only certain products provide such function, but YES. Q. Do you have the touch screen option? A. We do however the touch panel integration for the slide monitor is quite sophisticated so we don't really offer it to our customers unless they really want such function. Q. I got smaller screen (7"), will mine work? A. Generally yes, but the smaller screen means lesser resolution and image quality. Q. Will it use the factory Mic for voice commands? A. 13.01.2022 For those of you do not know well about Aus market / Ford F150 : Ford Australia has never imported / sold F150 and the closest one we ever had was a PX Ranger with a Raptor badge. Almost every single F150s in Australia right now are imported and done right-hand drive conversion through importing agencies.... Having said that, the truck does not have any NAV / Sync III software support for Australia as It was never designed for outside of US. Product installed: - Apple CarPlay / Android Auto - Reverse Camera For 370Z with 18 buttons (9 buttons on each side of the center control knob), It will require a different parts as that uses GVIF video type, not RGB

Audio unit was replaced to our 9" Android operating unit, with touchscreen & CarPlay / Android Auto licenses installed as well, with USB input made inside the arm rest console.... HK premium sound was retained via aftermarket adapter.

06.01.2022 Product used :https://www.naviplus.com.au//Range-Rover-InControl-Pro-And Installed on 2017 Range Rover Sport, L494 / Aus model. FAQ and our responses:... Q: How does this get installed? A: 2017 onward LR models have the headunit separated from the dash and located under the driver seat. Meaning that the CarPlay / Android auto device also needs to be installed under the seat also. The Installation involves with bypassing the video / power / CAN / Lin (secondary CAN for steering wheel if you will) cable with T-Harness, and mounting our device. Q: Do I lose anything from the car? A: Nope Q: How does the sound quality is like when you are in CarPlay / Android Auto? A: Our product was originally designed for fairly older series vehicles in general, regardless of the brand. Most of them had AUX input, so we've used it for dedicated sound source to access sound system in the car. Whereas for JLR, they got rid of the AUX after 2016, hence we use the USB to AUX conversion kit. There is a sound 'degrading' as the sound is going through a conversion. And frankly speaking till there's a new unit that will shoot sound through USB or HDMI, this can't be rectified, or you can seek retrofitting a genuine Smartphone Integration package of JLR, which is also offered by us, but costs more. Q:I have smaller screen with buttons on the side, will my vehicle work? A: May need to use different unit but every single 'InControl Touch' infotainment systems are covered. Q: Will this update my InControl Touch Pro audio? A: There's no way that an aftermarket integration unit can offer such thing. Q: My car has a dual view monitor, will it still work? A: Same as the answer for the smaller screen Q, yes. Q: Why doesn't JLR made it standard for every cars? FAQs and responses: Q: Do I lose sat radio (in US's case) A: Nope Q: Then is there anything that gets removed from the vehicle? A: You won't lose anything whatsoever. Q: Will CarPlay play Youtube? A: Both Apple and Google had a same idea of blocking any sort of 'moving' media from their platform, to not distract the driver, so No. Q: Why can't I just get PCM4 or 5.1 to get the native CarPlay from Porsche? A: Because PCM4 and above are not compatible with vehicle made before 2019 and Porsche will never sell the infotainment unit by itself. Q: Will it use TomTom or Garmin GPS App as well? A: We are under the impression those are either already working in CarPlay / Android auto, or in process to be added. Q: Can I install front camera? A: Yes you can, It does have Front cam input. Q: Does this provide smartphone screen mirroring as well? A: It does, however It hasn't showed us promising performance so we aren't offering it to our customers till it's improved. Q: Does the CarPlay / Android Auto shows up on the speedo display where NAV map shows up? A: Unfortunately no. Q: I have few different android phones, will all of them work? A: Generally Samsung / Pixel / LG / HTC phones are the safest bet, Huawei, Xiamoi and OnePlus may not support depends on their version and model. We haven't tested all of those thus can't really confirm what will and what won't. Product installed: - CarPlay & Android auto, with Capacitive touch panel overlay - Front Camera (180' multiview) - Eyeview MC5 - Reverse camera - Sony CCD II Butterfly cam Installation date - 27th - 28th of July 2020 The whole system uses 'HANGUP' button on steering wheel, to toggle between Audio - CarPlay / Android Auto - Front camera. This is the first vehicle we've installed capacitive touch screen - which will provide almost similar touch smoothness as a smartphone's. The front camera - as you've seen, will require an additional switch button to be installed to toggle between those 3 view modes supported.
