25.01.2022 Congratulations to our REACH students for their progress so far! We’re happy to announce that two REACH students were able to find part-time jobs. Their hard work has paid off with jobs at a local supermarket. Another REACH student has also found an internship at an IT company for three months.... 21.01.2022 No matter what your English skill level is, we can help you improve! Meet Linna, one of our AMEP students. Linna was born in Cambodia and was forced to leave her country due to war. After 15 long and hard years in Vietnam she arrived in Australia to start a new life. With the help of Navitas English, Linna learned how to speak, read and write in English. We’re pleased to support the Salvation Army in helping current and past students of Navitas English that may be struggling to get access to food for their families. ... We have been able to assist 79 families so far, and we want to help even more. See our helpers in Fairfield working together with the Salvation Army’s Pastor David and Pastor Russel to get those food boxes to those who need them. 06.01.2022 Moving from Lebanon to Australia is not easy. Fatima, a Bankstown AMEP student found it difficult too, until she started studying with us. She began with us in the AMEP and was later offered a Pathways to Work Customer Service Course.... At the beginning she was worried her English was not good enough to finish the course. But as she progressed through the course and the two-week work experience, her confidence grew, and she is now confident to work and communicate with anyone. 01.01.2022 Last year, some of our female students went on an excursion to Dress for Success at Marrickville. An organisation that supports women and their job search. They were given tips on their interview skills and were able to borrow formal clothing to use for their job interviews. Here is a video of their experience.
