21.01.2022 There is far more to weaning at NBGen than just separating the calf from the cow. Correct management of weaners, low stress training and educating calves at weaning, sets their pattern of behaviour for the rest of their lives. Making their first experience of handling and husbandry procedures as pleasant as possible reduces the stress experienced throughout their lifetime when similar procedures are carried out. This results in ease of handling and increased growth performance.
