She now works in her dream job, mentoring youth at Streetwork in Sydney’s north. Some young people often feel there is no way out...but there’s one thing my job is not about..and that’s ‘rescuing’. Dawn wants this difference made clear. My job is to empower, to walk beside and mentor youth on makin...g decisions they feel good about. Youths are savvy, and can come to their own conclusions as to how they want to move forward once they have good tools. Everyone has a hidden talent.we just help them to find theirs. This was a big change from her previous jobs in advertising, photography and running consumer research groups.
