20.01.2022 The Homebuilder grant is live in SA! Revenue SA has finally released further information & an application form for the Homebuilder grant. While it is great to see all the finer details that we have been waiting for, lenders are yet to release their policy around the grant & until they do we still need to be a little cautious.... I will be contacting all of my clients that are wanting the grant over the coming days with what to do from here. 20.01.2022 New $25,000 Homebuilder grant! I've already had a number of people ask about the new Homebuilder grant & I've found there is a lot of misinformation out there about it. Do not rely on info from a news article or similar.... See below for the official treasury release which includes a fact sheet & FAQs. A few key points - It is available for non-first home buyers In SA, if you are a first home buyer, you get the current $15,000 as well as the $25,000 for a total of $40,000! 01.01.2022 Homebuilder update! The federal government has just updated their website & clarified a few things that people were wondering. I think one of the biggest points is around the 3 months commencement from contract signing.... They have now clarified that there will be some discretion if things are held up that are outside of the client's control. How much discretion is unsure but this is good news. At this point in time in SA, there is still no way to apply for the Homebuilder grant but I am hoping revenue SA announces something soon.
