25.01.2022 You may remember Jack our former Deputy Group Leader who went off to basic training in the army, well he graduated his basic training two weeks ago and has now begun his career as a rifleman with the Army. But as we know all good things come in two, meet Sam, another committed Nambour and District member who, today, went to his Enlistment ceremony and is now a recruit in the Australian Army! Sam has been a member since 2019 and was our youngest member, Sam has worked hard towards his goal of joining the Army and it has finally paid off. We wish Sam all the best of luck with his future career.

14.01.2022 A Nambour & District team is today joining local crews from Kilcoy as a land search is underway for a missing 39 year old female. From @qpsmedia ~ Leanne Edwards was seen leaving a residence on Robson Street around 3.30pm on Thursday, June 4. She was last seen several hours later walking along Kilcoy-Esk Road, around 7pm.... Police and family hold concern for her wellbeing as she has a medical condition which requires medication. Her disappearance is also out of character. Leanne is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 170cm tall with shoulder length brown hair. She was last seen wearing black pants, a khaki green jacket and carrying a small back pack. Police are appealing to Leanne, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, to come forward. @ Kilcoy, Queensland
