21.01.2022 NBVA UNIFORM REQUIREMENT INFORMATION For all NBVA / NSW Beach Volleyball Tour Tournaments there are uniform requirements: * AAA / AA divisions: matching uniform are mandatory. * A / BBB / BB / B divisions: matching uniforms are optional, however strongly recommended.... 19.01.2022 NBVA #1 / NSW BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOUR (ROUND 1) TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Volleyball New South Wales - VNSW Thank you to everyone who registered for the first NBVA #1 / NSW Beach Volleyball Tour (Round 1) scheduled this Saturday 10 October to Sunday 11 October 2020.... This event received a large subscription of teams and unfortunately due to court space, time and capacity to fit 96 teams over two days we are unable to accommodate the extra teams on the waiting list. (QUICK FACT: We have increased from 48 teams in 2018, 96 teams in 2019 to now over 130+ teams so it's great we are growing but unfortunately we cannot have unlimited teams as this event is also a NSW Beach Volleyball Tour which is the highest level in NSW) NBVA is currently looking at adding another competition format that provides another entry to our tournaments and do appreciate your patience - it will take time to make sure we have a suitable framework that is sustainable for the whole season. We thank you for your understanding and will keep everyone posted when we have further information. 15.01.2022 NBVA #1 / NSW Beach Volleyball Tour (R1) Registration is now open and closes Wed 7 Oct 2020 at 12pm. Volleyball New South Wales - VNSW Link: https://nbva.org.au/event-registration/... AAA, AA and A Divisions will be run on the Saturday and BBB, BB and B Divisions will be run on the Sunday. You can tentatively select to register on Day 1 AAA/AA/A or Day 2 BBB/BB/B (you can not select the division specifically) After registering players must pay online before the registration deadline. Payment can be made using this link: https://nbva.org.au/product/nbva-tournament-entry-variable/ Note: When you register this does not guarantee you into the Tournament. Rego/payment closes on Wed 7 Oct at 12pm, and then you will be seeded accordingly to your points. Once registration closes the seeding list will be reviewed and published by Thursday 8 Oct and you will receive an email that indicates what day you are playing on. Teams who do not make it into the divisions or if there is an oversubscription of teams will be placed on a waitlist and notified by Friday evening if any teams withdraw. This event will run till 3.30pm.... The Junior Beach Volleyball Tour #1 event hosted by Volleyball New South Wales - VNSW will be held on Fri 9th October from 7am - 3pm. We appreciate players/member to please let the setup crew set up the courts and other equipment during this time. Courts 3 to 8 and the portable area beside Courts 6 to 8 will be unavailable during the whole day until 3.30pm. Please share this information with your groups/friends. 12.01.2022 PLAYER RANKING POINTS INFORMATION NBVA #1 Tournament registration is filling up and here's some helpful information for players who aren't aware around the NBVA seeding system. After the top 24 Teams Register for AAA/AA/A on the Saturday, any lower teams will be bumped to the BBB/BB/B registration.... The seeding of NBVA tournaments is based on the average of the teams individual seeding score. The individual seeding score is the players average ranking points of their last 3 results in the previous 7 NBVA tournaments. If you played less than 3 tournaments your score will be derated by 10%. If you don’t have any results in the previous 7 NBVA tournaments your results from previous seasons will be used and derated by 15% per season. If a player with no seeding score partners up with a player with a seeding score - a team average will be calculated using half player points for player with none. 09.01.2022 NBVA has been given Council approval to recommence NBVA activities and we will be re-installing the NBVA nets on Wednesday 30 December - under the following conditions: - Up to 10 people, including children, may gather outdoors for exercise or recreational activity, but everyone must be a southern area resident. - If you are unsure on which area you are in please view the Public Health Map as pictured below.... NBVA is also a COVID Safe business and has completed a Covid-19 Safety Plan. All participants/players and volunteers are reminded to adhere to the NSW Health requirements and please contact the hotline on 13 77 88 available in NSW 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if in relation to a positive case of COVID-19. REMINDER: - Adhere to physical distancing rules (1.5m) and reduce crowding wherever possible. - Minimise co-mingling of participants from different games where possible. - Bring your own water bottle, snacks and towels. 05.01.2022 NBVA has decided to cancel the NBVA Mixed Tournament scheduled 9-10 January 2021. Cancelling the event has not been an easy decision, but we truly believe it is the wisest choice in these circumstances during this time. The safety of all our participants, volunteers and public at large is of utmost priority. NBVA training sessions will resume shortly and we continue to monitor the situation daily and will keep everyone informed of decisions and developments.... 04.01.2022 NBVA will be rescheduling the NBVA AUS/NZ vs The Rest of the World 4V4 Challenge to Australia Day Tuesday January 26, 2021 due to NSW COVID restrictions still in place. As you know the Northern Beaches (Manly Beach area) is limited to ten people allowed to gather outside so we cannot have people congregate in large numbers.
