13.01.2022 North Canberra Gunghalin Junior Cricket Club would like to welcome all parents and children to the 2020/2021 season. Canberra, Australia and the world have (and continue to) experience a severe health challenge to our way of life, and the club’s thoughts are with those families that have been effected by this pandemic. The NCGCC Junior Committee will continue to work hard to provide NCGCC juniors with a pathway for future development by working more closely with the senio...rs club and coaches. We were initially planning to start the blaster program from today (Friday, 30 October) as advertised on mycricket website. However, due to recent rains and forecast of thunder storms, we have no other choice but to call off today's season start and reschedule it for 6 November. Junior Blaster: Start Date: 6 November End Date: 18 December Timing: 6-7pm Location: Harrison Playing fields Master Blaster: Start Date: 6 November End Date: 18 December Timing: 5.30-7pm Location: Harrison Playing fields Code of Behaviours: It is worth reminding everyone that while North Canberra Gungahlin players have a very good reputation for sportsmanship towards fellow players and respect for opposing teams and umpires, it is important that we maintain that reputation by continuing to adhere to the club’s Code of Behaviour. The Club takes breaches of the Code of Behaviour very seriously and will continue the two-breach policy this season. The following will apply: 1. 1st breach will be a formal warning 2. 2nd breach will be an indefinite suspension from matches. Depending on the seriousness of the breach this may include expulsion from the club Parents are also expected to adhere to the club’s Code of Conduct while at training sessions and games and any breaches will also be dealt with the above system. All alleged breaches will be reviewed by the Chair and a Member of the Management Committee. I encourage parents to contact the Committee if they wish to discuss any aspect of the coming season. The Management Committee wishes all club players and parents an injury-free, successful and enjoyable 2020/2021 season.
