First we have Dr Adam McCarthy, owner and Principle Chiropractor at the Northern Centre of Natural Healing Dr Adam graduated from RMIT in 1995 and has been in practice in both Australia and abroad since that time. After retiring from AFL football in 1996 he began practicing in Seymour, Heathcote and Melbourne before undertaking further training and gaining experience in the UK, Ireland and the USA.... He is a certified ‘wellness practitioner’ and takes a holistic approach to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human dis-ease and musculoskeletal conditions. He treats all biomechanical conditions of the spine such as low back pain, mid back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines from infancy to older age. 06.01.2022 Need to see a Myotherapist? We have two practitioners available at our Pascoe Vale clinic! Myotherapy is the evidence based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions. Xavier is a fully qualified Myotherapist (Advanced Diploma if Remedial Massage/ Myotherapy), having completed his studies at Victoria University in 2014. During his study he gained practical experience working as a sports trainer for Coburg Districts in the local... football league (EDFL) In 2015 Xavier got the opportunity to go to the next level in his Myotherapy career securing a position with Essendon Football Club (AFL) performing remedial massage to the Essendon AFL players. He also gained a position with Essendon in the VFL as a sports trainer which included remedial massage, taping and injury management on training and game days. Xavier has been a part of the NCNH team for 3 years now, working as a Myotherapist and also working alongside our principle chiropractor providing patients with soft tissue therapy prior to their chiropractor adjustments. 02.01.2022 Also available at our Pascoe Vale clinic for Myotherapy appointments is Emmy After years of study, Emmy completed a Double Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science / Human Movement & Psychological Studies. She has also completed her Certificate 3&4 in Fitness and most recently an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy. She grew up a very active and sporty individual, heavily involved in athletics and fitness. Throughout the years she has been lucky enough to be exposed to many elite spor...ting facilities and unfortunately have sustained numerous injuries which has only strengthened her interest and passion in the Myotherapy field. She enjoys working with a wide range of clientele with ongoing muscular complaints. Her main goal as a therapist is to the treat the individual as a whole, addressing the underlying cause of their issues. She aims to help her clients by reducing their pain and discomfort but also by teaching them through corrective exercise, ongoing support and advice to help them achieve optimal function.
