25.01.2022 This week Jeremy, our Elder’s, some of our Ministry Leaders and Chaplain’s have been engaging in a hybrid, online/in person version of Collective. This is a beautiful time to come together with churches from Fresh Hope across NSW and ACT to hear the bigger picture of all God is doing across our movement and be encouraged, inspired and spurred on with teaching, particularly in this pivotal point in history. We are excited to innovate and see God’s Kingdom come and will be do...ne, now and into the future in Nowra. #Fulcrum2020 #Freshhopecollective

Weather permitting we will have a picnic outside, so bring your picnic rugs/chair and your own dinner. 15.01.2022 At Youth Drop In There’s been some serious planning over the last couple weeks about making our own Gaga pit. We have some excellent mathematicians and building planners in our midst. If you have had a Covid test and are awaiting results please also refrain from coming. We also remind you of the recommendation from the NSW Government to wear a mask while we are singing together. ... All other, now standard, Covid measures are still in place, 1.5m distance, sanitising hands, checking in on arrival etc. We're looking forward to together fixing our eyes on the joy and hope we have in God Emmanuel amidst the uncertainty.

02.01.2022 Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) training put on by Wellbeing EDvantage, finished on Friday and all participants passed to gain their certification. This is an absolutely amazing group of people doing some incredible work with our young people, people with disabilities and people in crisis situations within our local community. We at Nowra Church of Christ are committed to partnering with those in our community working with young people to equip and resource in order to... change the narrative. LSCI uses crisis and conflict situations as an opportunity to break self-defeating patterns of behaviour and underlying beliefs. It has come out of a school based approach but the principles are applicable everywhere there are conflict and crisis situations, which can be from the home and beyond. We would like to thank Wellbeing EDvantage for generously donating their time, resources and knowledge to our participants. These guys have some excellent resources and further courses if you’re interested. https://www.wellbeingedvantage.com This will be run again in Nowra, so if you or someone you know works in schools or youth organisations take a look. Dates: 30 August, 1, 6 & 13 September 2021 (9am - 4:30pm each day). Attendance at each day is required for certification. Venue: Nowra Church of Christ.
