19.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas party yesterday! We all savoured the fabulous Christmas food, sang traditional songs and really enjoyed coming together after such a difficult year. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas Tusen takk til all som var tilstede ved julebordet vårt I går! 18.01.2022 Love Norwegian beer? Then it will be a comfort for you to know that the fine folk from Cervisiam in Oslo have once again brought their fantastic craft beers to our shores! Enquire at your local bottle shops that stock craft beers as they will only be available at select vendors. You will however be definitely able to find them at My Beer Dealer, located downstairs of Brewski on Caxton St near the Brisbane CBD. There are always a good supply of fine quality beers and wines on offer, so you may find yourself leaving with more than you expected. Just remember to drink moderately and as always stay safe everyone. Have a lovely weekend

09.01.2022 Góða Òlavsøku to the Faroe Islands! This post is a day late for us but in the Faroe Islands it is still the 29th of July (albeit late at night), which is their national day known as Ólavsøka (or Saint Olaf's Wake). Originally this day began as a celebration of Norwegian king Olaf Haraldsson II who became Norway's patron saint. Today it means dressing up in traditional clothing and celebrating in day-long festivals. We at the Norwegian Club of Queensland wish all the best to o...ur Faroese cousins on this day.
