07.01.2022 Women 40-44 years of age are the highest at-risk age group for death by suicide. A strong sense of connectedness and belonging are key suicide protective factors, and sport is a context where these can be fostered and is already a site for suicide prevention programs. Jacquelyn Batrachenko is currently conducting a resea...rch project as part of her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) Honours degree, under the supervision of Professor Andrea Lamont-Mills. The project aims to help understand the relationship between menopause, sport participation and suicide. If you are a woman between 35-65 years of age, and do NOT currently participate in a competitive spots or group based physical activity, Jacquelyn invites you to complete her research survey. The survey is approximately 45 minutes in length and can be accessed online, here: https://surveys.usq.edu.au/index.php/886258?lang=en If you have any questions about this study please contact Jacquelyn directly on [email protected] or Professor Andrea Lamont-Mills [email protected]
