17.01.2022 As much as self- practice & self-study, Svadhuyaya, are important and incredibly grounding- theres’s just something about the community and connection that comes with taking part in classes with other people. There’s something so magical about sharing the space and energy with others and that’s what makes the community! Seems that I was only just finding my groove before going into isolation for the past 6 weeks, and I can’t wait to get back out there and connect with new people

16.01.2022 Move exactly as you need to

10.01.2022 Some days, you just have to let it all go. They can’t all be productive. Sometimes, you just need to reflect on the fact that you are here, you are breathing. And live in a state of gratitude. That’s me today. Resting. Grateful.

10.01.2022 Salutin’ the sun every day

08.01.2022 So I have been teaching to a group of friends and family for free for the past few weeks. It’s been wonderful, and my heart is so full that so many of you have found peace and stillness during this really hard time! I won’t ask of you to pay for those classes, but I will ask that if you can, to please donate even the smallest amount to this cause!! Join my this Sunday on zoom from the beautiful @nayaubud for a donation based class!... Raising funds for Adopt a family, who are doing amazing work here in Bali, delivering food parcels that will last families in need almost 2 weeks! To join the class, any donation is welcome via PayPal: link in my bio! Once donated, please screenshot and send me a DM and I will send you the link for the class with the time! I know we are all feeling the effects of the global situation, but the smallest amount can help a whole family, who literally have no way of bringing food home @ Naya Ubud

03.01.2022 Let’s talk hypermobility! It always been a blessing and.. well... a pain in the butt! As a dancer, I was always praised for my extra straight knees, yes the lines were beautiful! But at the end of the day, I had no idea how to take care of my joints with this extra range of motion. Ultimately leading me to a knee injury that ended my dance career and discovering the cartilage in my knees are degenerative. Cool ... What does this mean? Apparently, they are meant to get worse and worse. But I’ve the last 4 years I have slowly been working on building strength around my joints. If you’ve ever been in class with me (or taught me) you’ll know that I generally move a lot slower than the rest of the class. This is because it so damn easy for me to lose awareness of the alignment of my joints. What feels right and comfortable is often so out of alignment I begin to experience pain and the pelvis begins to twist even further. Strength isn’t only your HIIT workouts and weights, Strength can be as simple as finding stability in the shoulder joint (and I’ll tell you what- for me, that ain’t easy!) So a little reminder for today, go slowly, treat your body with care, and see how you can build awareness through subtle movements

02.01.2022 A little real time reminder that sometimes you fall apart. That is all.

01.01.2022 How slow can you go? In the past 3 days I have kicked my side table and possibly broken a toe & slipped walking into my bathroom, smashing my hand in the door. Today’s practice was short, slow and oh so wobbly. It was full of laughs and letting go. ... Still grateful. With a full heart
