02.02.2022 We're excited to have Craig Wetjen speaking at this years breakfast! In preparing his book Men and Their Sheds, photographer Craig started with an idea: to showcase the private relationship between a man and his shed a place where the pressure of time is erased, where conversation is easy, and the stories that are shared are inspirational and life affirming. Spending hours getting to know his subjects, Craig soon recognised that these conversations were not only helping him..., but helping others too, by bringing insight and awareness to the men about their mental and physical health. What is unspoken is that a shed is also a place of refuge from depression, loneliness and isolation. Craig Wetjen has been a professional photographer for almost 30 years. Born in the USA, he began his career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratories documenting the Mars Pathfinder and Cassini projects. Craig moved to Australia almost 20 years ago to play a pivotal role in establishing RMIT’s digital imaging photography course. Craig is an international award-winning photographer. Craig is also an ambassador for Beyond Blue.

09.01.2022 The National Day of Thanks Mayoral Breakfast for Yarra Ranges is an opportunity to honour and give thanks to those who have tirelessly served their community for many years. In 2017, we also have the pleasure of hosting Craig Wetjen - publisher of the book 'Men And Their Sheds', recognising the inspirational stories of men all across Australia.
