10.01.2022 LOCAL BREWERY BENEFITS FROM SMALL SCALE AND CRAFT AG GRANT Strathbogie's Sandy and David Joyce has said a recent grant from the state government's small-scale... and craft agriculture program has allowed them to purchase fermenting equipment for their local brewery and will see them expand into the kegging market. Both Sandy and David said while their business has felt the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, small scale producers in the region have great potential in future years. 02.01.2022 Stumbled across these incredible scenes at the Murtoa Stick Shed whilst visiting a site nearby. Built in 1941 in just 4 quick months, this is the last standing of 27 similar sheds built across Victoria during the war to house excess grain, and is currently heritage listed. It was built using sheer bush carpentry with no engineers or builders, with the roof line resembling the natural fall of harvested wheat. Well and truely worth a visit if youre anywhere nearby! @ Murtoa Stick Shed
