21.01.2022 I am pleased to once again be a part of The Nappy Collective, a fantastic initiative that aims to help the 150,000+ Australian families experiencing nappy stress. Many parents experiencing nappy stress are facing adverse circumstances such as family violence, income loss or homelessness. My office will serve as a donation point until May 21st, and I encourage anyone who can to pop by 6 Eramosa Road East, Somerville, with a packet of nappies!
19.01.2022 The COVID-19 pandemic saw Australians postpone or forgo visits to their GP, including their annual Heart Health Checks. Even during a period of competing health priorities, the prioritisation of heart health has never been so critical. Heart disease is the single leading cause of death in Victoria. More than 300,000 Victorians live with heart disease and approximately 6,844 people die every year. Around 95,742 Victorians are hospitalised yearly. Many people may not be... aware of their risk factors for heart disease. A Heart Health Check is a 20-minute check-up with your GP to assess your risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Book in a Heart Health Check at your local GP today!
16.01.2022 Labor and The Greens believe banning gas appliances is the way to tackle climate change... a pretty ridiculous concept. We can reduce emissions without killing off the Aussie BBQ. That's why the Liberal Nationals have a Zero to Landfill plan to reduce emissions from landfill while creating a new source of energy. Read more here: https://www.zerotolandfill.com.au/ ... Tell Labor and The Greens to keep their hands off our BBQ's!
16.01.2022 The team and I had a great time down at Crib Point Community Market this Saturday, volunteering to run the sausage sizzle to raise money for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea. It was great to catch up with so many other community-minded people, including Councillor Lisa Dixon Cerberus Ward. Thanks to everyone who purchased a sausage or stopped by for a chat!
09.01.2022 The Andrews Labor Government is planning a mass slaughter of brumbies. These animals are an iconic part of Victoria’s heritage and cultural identity but Labor will soon be undertaking a mass ground and aerial shooting. The 2018 Feral Horse Strategic Action Plan recognised that shooting brumbies had limited public support. The Liberal Nationals are calling on the Andrews Labor Government to genuinely consult with regional communities and prioritise rehoming brumbies. I'd like to know your thoughts, should the Andrews Labor Government go ahead with shooting brumbies?
