24.01.2022 THE ORIGINAL GIANT KILLERS The Cortina dominated the great race winning outright & also claimed numerous highly regarded class victories in 1963, 1964 & 1965. The Mini then dominated 1966 claiming the top 9 places outright & two class wins.... These replicas of the 1963 & 1966 winners can be found in the National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst.

21.01.2022 Happy Valentines Day

21.01.2022 Thanks for all your patience with the shots from Track Day Club trying to get them edited as quick as possible. My offsider Daisy hasn't been much help though.

20.01.2022 THE LAST OF THE BIG BANGERS 1984 was the last year of the Group C touring cars. The race was won by Peter Brock & Larry Perkins. It was the most dominant team performance for the Holden Dealer Team in the Great Race as the team claimed a 1-2 finish.

20.01.2022 With racing back on TV I thought I would go through some shots from last time & went to the Supercars at Eastern Creek (yeah I know its SMP now, but I'm old school). I love this one because the light is great during golden hour there. When I took this shot someone must have gone wide at turn one & kicked up some dust which then turned the light a beautiful yellow/orange colour. #VASC

20.01.2022 Nice little cruise & shoot today with Mick Burgess & Amandalee Burgess. Stay tuned for some more photos of these beautiful cars!

19.01.2022 Pretty excited to be part of this again tomorrow at Wakefield Park with the Track Day Club

19.01.2022 The iconic Pete Geohegan 1967 GTA Mustang. Arguably the most successful cars in Australian motorsport by winning 75 times and finished second 20 times out of 118 starts between 1967 and 1971. Along the way it also won the 1967, 1968 & 1969 Australian Touring Car Championships.... in 2003 the car returned back to the track in historic touring car racing winning numerous races with Ross Donnelly & Des Wall at the wheel.

19.01.2022 The famous Hollywood-esque sign on Mount Panorama is one of the first things you see on the way into Bathurst. #happybathurstday #bathurst1000 #bathurst #mountpanorama

14.01.2022 BATHURST COUPES The Falcon coupes that raced at Bathurst were the underdogs when they went up against the Toranas in the 1970's. They were largely out numbered but still managed to win some of the most memorable wins at Bathurst. Arguably the greatest win was by the two cars in this photo driven by Allan Moffat, Jackie Icxx, Colin Bond & Allan Hamilton.... They dominated the race & finished crossed the line in a form finish. Cars 1 & 2 crossing the line at the same time with their huge numbers 1 & 2 painted on the roof was an image that haunted Holden fans for years. The third car in the photo is a replica of the 1974 winner driven by privateers John Goss & Kevin Bartlett. Who won after the Toranas of the dominant Holden Dealer Team both had engine failures.

14.01.2022 Great to be back at the track with the Track Day Club! Here are the start of the photos. More coming soon!!

13.01.2022 This is Peter Brocks 1978 A9X Torana. It helped Peter Brock claim his second of three Australian Touring Car Championships. It then went on to dominate the endurance races, first with a 1-2 at Sandown and a dominant win at Bathurst and Surfers paradise

13.01.2022 KANGAROO RACING at Mount Panorama this weekend! Due to the recent COVID outbreak in Queensland & uncertainty that competitors will be able to compete. Event organizers have announced that Kangaroos will be replacing cars at this years Bathurst 6 Hour this weekend in a similar way that camel racing has filled in for horse racing in the past.... We have seen Skippy hit the track many times in the past for demonstration laps, but it will be exciting that we will finally get to a proper race.

13.01.2022 It's a good day for ducks

13.01.2022 DOING IT IN STYLE The Jaguars like this one dominated the Australian Touring Car Championship in the early years.

13.01.2022 Peter Brock's first drive at the mountain was this HT Monaro GTS which he finished 3rd in the 1969 great race

12.01.2022 The start of the Bathurst 12 Hour

11.01.2022 Not the best place to see a kangaroo when you are driving. Who else has had a close encounter with Skippy?

10.01.2022 kicking up the dust at this years Bathurst 12 hour

10.01.2022 Some more images coming getting printed out today. These will be going up in the rooms of the Quality Motel in Bathurst, so check them out when you are visiting next time!

08.01.2022 In 1969 Mike Savva entered this XW GTHO Falcon in the Hardie Ferodo 500 at Bathurst, back when anyone with a few dollars in their pocket could buys a car & race on the mountain. Early in the race he luckily avoided the first lap carnage when Bill Brown tried to pass him & rolled his car at the dipper wiping out about 1/3th of the field. During the race Mike Savva hit 136.7mph (220km/h) in the 'flying eighth' down conrod straight (the fastest race speed that year), & finished 13th outright.

08.01.2022 A sneak peak of an exciting project that that will feature some large prints of my images.

07.01.2022 VALE RON TAURANAC The legendary racing car designer and engineer has passed away aged 95. He was best known for founding the legendary Brabham team alongside Jack Brabham in the early 1960s that built ... a range of successful open wheel racing cars, including Formula 1 winning world titles in '66 and '67. He was also the man behind RALT and its successful Formula 3, Formula 2 and Formula Atlantic cars that dominated open wheel racing in the 1970s and 1980s. After selling RALT he worked on projects with the Honda and the Arrows Formula 1 team. Tauranac was awarded the Order of Australia in 2002 and inducted into the Motorsport Australia Hall of Fame in 2017.

06.01.2022 Who says FWD can't drift

06.01.2022 This 1969 Monaro helped with the Holden Dealer Teams victory at Bathurst in 1969. It was involved in a firey crash at the Sandown 500 in 1969 and brought to light a few issues that were fixed before the big race at Bathurst. The car has since been restored & was seen being driven around Mount Panorama for a few laps by Craig Lowndes last year..

06.01.2022 It was sad to hear that fellow Cortina fan Ted Perkins on Friday after a long and extremely brave battle with cancer. I will miss seeing him throw his Cortina around the mountain in Group N Historic Touring Cars

05.01.2022 Snowing on the mountain

04.01.2022 HOLDENS FIRST WIN ON THE MOUNTAIN Holden had tried to win at Bathurst since its first attempt in 1963 with the clandestine efforts with the Holden EH S4 race special. 1968 was the first time factory supported teams of Ford and Holden raced against each other. But it wasn't a factory team that won. The race was won by privateers Bruce McPhee & Barry Mulholland.... This race was the start of the iconic rivalry of Ford v's Holden factory teams battling it out at Bathurst. A replica of the 1968 winning Monaro can be found at the National Motor Racing Museum at Bathurst.

04.01.2022 A selection of my favorite shots from this years Bathurst 6 Hour race. #B6HR #bathurst #bathurst6hour #mountpanorama

04.01.2022 I love seeing my pictures in print. This is one of the latest, used as a feature wall in the recently renovated Ispa Kebab at William St, Bathurst. Get down there and grab a Kebab if you are in town this weekend.

03.01.2022 Get dizzy watching this one at Wakefield Park with the Track Day Club

03.01.2022 Back on track tomorrow with the Track Day Club. Here are a few from the last meet, fingers crossed we get a bit better weather this time!

02.01.2022 THE FIRST V8 WINNER AT THE MOUNTAIN After the controversy that came about from "race specials" such as the Cortina GT500 that were built just to win at the mountain not being in the spirit of the race. Ford had to go back to the drawing board with talk that the GT500 wouldn't be allowed back after its win in 1965. Ford didn't enter a factory backed car in 1966 to defend their win, but instead they came back in 1967 and raised the stakes with the Ford Falcon XR GT & ushered ...in the muscle car era. This beauty can be found at the National Motor Racing Museum in Bathurst.

02.01.2022 It was sad to hear that we lost fellow Cortina fan Ted Perkins on Friday. I will miss seeing him throw his Cortina around the mountain in Group N Historic Touring Cars

02.01.2022 Finally got round to making my first photo album of my favorite shots from the Bathurst 12 Hour. Much better than looking at them on a phone. Might have to start making a few more of these.

01.01.2022 Here are a few photos from a quick little trip up to the mountain last weekend to watch the BLCC Mountain Straight Hillclimb

01.01.2022 Some shots from this weekends speed weekend. Let em know if you would like to purchase any images or if you would like to see more photos of a particular car

01.01.2022 2020 has been a bit quieter than most years, but still managed to squeeze in a fair bit of motorsport. The year kicked off with the Bathurst 12 Hour, & the Bathurst Autofest. Then I was fortunate enough to work with the Track Day Club, shooting their events at Wakefield Park in March, May, July, September & November.... Unfortunately this year was the first time in about 15 years that I couldn't go to the great race. But I still managed to squeeze in the Bathurst Light Car Clubs Speed Weekend at Mount Panorama, as well as helping the guys at Challenge Bathurst Photos & a couple of photo shoots finish off the year. Hope you enjoy some of my favorite shots from this year.
