03.01.2022 Ken Davidson Engineering Workshop Manager Ken started his career as an apprentice in Fitting and Turning at Ergon Energy in Cairns. Progressing through his studies Ken completed his apprenticeship in 1979 and moved to NQEA as a fitter and turner, working on Australian Navy vessels as part of multiple major tenders. While Ken moved through his career moving from NQEA to NERCO as an automotive machinist, he was also gaining valuable knowledge in various makes and models of eng...ines. NERCO was sold to Cummins INC. in 1996 and Ken moved there as supervisor in the engine shop carrying out repairs on all types of engines, propellers and propeller shafts throughout North Queensland. In 2018 Cummins was bought out by the facility which is now known by NEAMCO. Ken continues to service the loyal and valued customer base with engine repairs and reconditioning in his position as Engineering Workshop Manager. See more

02.01.2022 Lou Pradal Engineering Workshop Supervisor Louis started his career as an apprentice in Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Progressing through this apprenticeship to be a leading hand mechanic then becoming a foreman. From there Louis continued to gain knowledge of the latest America products by working for International Harvester Inc. as a truck mechanic and furthered this at a local earthmoving contractor in the local area as a mechanic/operator. Louis then became a diesel fitter at N...ERCO in their Cook Street premises for the Fry Family. During this time Louis gained valuable knowledge in various makes and models of gearbox and engine overhauls as well as carrying out various courses and gained valuable experiences in dynamometer testing. NERCO built a new facility in Liberty Street was Louis was greatly involved in the build and layout design. Louis is a valued member of our supervisory team. See more

01.01.2022 Peter Conomos Manufacturing Manager Peter Conomos started his career as an apprentice in the engineering trade of Fitting and Machining at a local Cairns based Engineering Company known as North Queensland Engineers and Agents (NQEA). The facility at NQEA possessed fully equipped, modern heavy Engineering workshops, a slipway and shipyard. Due to the high degree of diverse engineering undertakings NQEA conducted, Peter gained solid industry experience in heavy Engineering an...d Manufacturing. In 2002 Peter started his own company in Cairns called PDA Engineering. PDA Engineering began operations as a specialist CNC machine shop dedicated to parts manufacture. PDA Engineering built a solid reputation and clientele base and continued to manufacture parts for mining but had also moved into repair of earthmoving equipment and wearing components. In 2018 PDA Engineering was acquired by the Fry family and was moved to NEAMCOs workshops to become NEAMCO’s manufacturing department. Peter continues to provide the same dedicated commitment to servicing NEAMCOs valued clientele. See more
