22.01.2022 Benalla is a very important part of the North Vic Trails. Some of the artists that created wall art in Benalla have also painted a silo mural in our region. Jimmy Dvate has three beautiful murals in Benalla and has also created Goorambat's 3 silo murals and two at Rochester. He is also booked to do more work at Kyabram and Picola. ... Matthew Adnate painted two walls in Benalla and created a serenely beautiful wall in the Uniting Church in Goorambat in 2017. Tim Bowtell a key member of the North East Artisans has painted large murals on the St James silos and the massive silo complex at Colbinabbin. Tim has also painted out at Winton Wetlands and a wall at the Benalla Bowls Club.

21.01.2022 You may all be aware of the Grain Train coming travelling late this afternoon. Here is a video for you . Note that it was running 4 hours late on its way south from Oaklands to Yarrawonga to Benalla and then on its way to Seymour and then Geelong tomorrow morning.... Note that it will be will be coming back north bound through Benalla and Yarrawonga early Tuesday morning, turning around at Oaklands and then heading back south bound the same Tuesday afternoon back to Geelong. 10.01.2022 Whilst not silo art, this is about silos. We just thought that we'd like to share with all the silo art admirers that a lot of the buildings are still in use and in high demand. In fact this year several silos that have been unused for a few years due to low harvest loads have been put back into use and filled. You may have noticed the many trucks carrying grain unloading whilst viewing the fantastic silo art. Or perhaps machinery and equipment that the farmers use has been ...left in awkward positions obstructing your view of the artwork. Some may not appreciate the truth that your photos are now really special as they commemorate a record breaking harvest year. It is tremendous news, not just for GrainCorp shareholders, but for the many rural communities that have been adversely affected by drought and bushfires. Indeed, North Vic Trails has several working silos including Picola Silo Art Goorambat Silo Art Tungamah Silo Art Colbinabbin Silo Art Trail Dookie Cosgrove Silo Art (Cosgrove Silos were one of the many dormant silos recommissioned this harvest) Also, whilst many silos are owned by GrainCorp or Viterra and the likes, there are many privately owned silos still run by the farmers. #northvictrails #nearttrail #northeastarttrail #siloarttrails #siloarttrail #siloart GrainCorp writes : "As #harvest2020 draws to a close, we’re excited to announce that over 60 of our sites in NSW and Victoria have recorded their all-time best harvest season In Northern NSW, Coonamble, which has endured several years of drought, came out on top at 443,000 tonnes. 03.01.2022 Located not far from Tungamah the Burramine Gardens are an oasis among open paddocks of cropped land. A beautiful variety of roses to admire along with a leafy green and cool grassed area. Some historic farm equipment is also on show.... Little pockets of seating allow the visitor to relax and just enjoy the peace that this garden offers. Sobrane Simcock has painted a wonderful mural on the shed wall. An old tractor comes out of the doorway in a bricked wall. The iconic Australian Magpie features largely. We all know of Sobrane's love for the Australian bird life.
