23.01.2022 ARE YOU AT RISK ? - Web security Individuals and small business are targets. A recent SBS Insight episode was about cyber security Some very sophisticated attacks were investigated and it would be easy to think you will not be targeted unless you are running a large enterprise. The reality is with more of us now working from home we can be more vulnerable and cyber attacks are increasing.... WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT IT is the obvious question. Over the next few days I will suggest some simple steps to help prevent such an intrusion. Security #1 Wordpress login WordPress powers 37% of all the websites on the Internet ( W3Techs) particularly small businesses. By default the login is www.domainname.com/admin or /login which is obviously the first place for an attacker. Using a plugin you can change the login to something unique making it more difficult to predict. Note : I am not suggesting this is #1 in importance, simply #1 on my list. See more
