24.01.2022 Prof Des Crawley once remarked you don’t ask a great chef what pots and pans they use so why ask a photographer about their kit. Whilst what gear a photographer uses may give a few clues to their lighting effects etc it isn’t an insight into their creative genius. To do that you have to look at their output simply their beautiful images. Shotkit has set up a webpage which lists what gear photographers use but it also displays examples of their creative work. To glimpse behind the scenes Prue Platt-Hepworth has work displayed on https://shotkit.com/prue-platt-hepworth/.
22.01.2022 John Chapman is certainly on a roll. Not only was he the winner of the Aperture Club competition with "Dance of the Emu spirits" but he was also a finalist with "I Am Here". Fantastic prize too - a just reward at the end of a fantastic year of exceptional image making..

08.01.2022 Congratulations to John Chapman, winner of the Head On Nude section for 2020. John's work "Dissonance of the Pious" was a stand out. Prue Platt-Hepworth was also a finalist with "Equus". The finalists are on display at TAPP Gallery. Well done to both artists.
