21.01.2022 Great tips for kids, and us adults, when greeting dogs out & about!

18.01.2022 The team at Necessary Grooming would like to wish all of our clients and friends a wonderful Christmas and a New Year filled with laughter, happiness and contentment. We also want to thank everyone who trusted us to look after their dogs and look forward to seeing you in the new year.

18.01.2022 Come & see Janine at her other employment - the new Dog Clinic Sandy Bay on Saturday! Plus fun in Red Chapel Reserve - directly opposite The Dog Clinic Sandy Bay - with Face Painting, Dog Show Bags, Free Dental Checks and food samples for your dog. Love to see you there!

16.01.2022 OODLE COATS - WHY THEY END UP NAKED! Basically an "oodle" is any dog that is bred with a poodle. This is one of the best articles I have seen written on the perils of oodle coats. As most of our clients are aware education & preventative grooming are key to preventing these things happening to your oodle.

16.01.2022 Happy National Dog Day!

16.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day!

16.01.2022 So what happens when Necessary Grooming gets a last minute cancellation? Well we find something else to groom!!!! Archer & Donnie loved their impromptu baths this morning and had a great time rolling afterwards!

10.01.2022 What a good boy!

09.01.2022 So... the Janine half of Necessary Grooming was peacefully going about my day last week & I get a phone call out of the blue saying I have been nominated for the Pet Plan Veterinary Support Staff of the Year Award and I have been short listed to the top 5 Australia wide. Bit of a shock I must say! Anyways there is now a voting component to this crazy thing so I thought I might as well put up the link and if anyone feels like voting for me it would be appreciated. ... https://www.petplan.com.au/vetawardsfinalists It’s in the Veterinary Support Staff section in green on the far end... once you click on that you need to scroll down to see my name. Thanks... Oh... I’m the only Tasmanian in the whole awards so that kinda sucks a bit cause I think Tasmanian Vet Staff are some of the most amazing people I have ever met! And if I win Pet Plan will donate to the charity I choose! Now at the moment there are NO Tassie charities on their list... but I reckon we could make a special case for one to join if I actually win my section hey?

09.01.2022 Happy Easter to all of the wonderful people and dogs we have as clients! Thank you all so much for trusting us with your furry family member. Enjoy the break and remember to spend time with your dogs!

07.01.2022 Tomorrow night is the traditional "Cracker Night". Fun for some people but not fun for our animals friends. Here is a list of the permits granted for tomorrow. Please take care of your animals and make sure they are safely contained tomorrow night. ... Talk to you vet asap if you are worried about the reaction your pet has to the noise. Stay safe!

04.01.2022 Have you had your dog's teeth checked recently? My other job - The Dog Clinic - is offering free dental checks for dogs in February. Plus cool presents! And I get to see you & your dog and not groom them! Which I am sure they will love!
