21.01.2022 An update on COVID-19 from the Darwin Turf Club: The Darwin Turf Club have undertaken a thorough risk assessment of our site and have taken into consideration b...oth Federal and Territory Government advice in regards to the Corona Virus. We take the health of our staff and race-goers very seriously, and while our immediate upcoming race days are low risk to our patrons, we will be implementing the following protocols on course: Monitor and restrict capacity to 500 persons for the upcoming Twilight Friday race meetings (March 27, April 3, and April 17) Encourage social distancing guidelines by reducing table capacities in all grandstand and internal areas of racecourse facilities Enhance signage and access to proper hygiene protocols for patrons, including additional hand sanitiser Darwin Turf Club management are holding regular meetings as updates come through, and will update information as required. The Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival is still going ahead as planned, and we look forward to hosting one of the Territory's most important social and sporting events for the community over eight days of racing commencing on July 4, and culminating with the Great Northern Darwin Cup on August 3.
