18.01.2022 I love this app. It's not only great to work out what the fats and sugars are and what your total calories number is. It also shows serving sizes. You'd be surprised how many things don't have sensible serving sizes for the advertised calculated fats and sugars (etc). * Example: there is a cookie advertising 9g fat and 12g sugar per serve... and it's 2 serves.... 2 serves! Who makes 1 cookie and calls it 2 serves! It's confusing! Luckily I always check first. Don't be fool...ed by big bold writing advertising low fat or sugar, check the nutrition panel always. 15.01.2022 Running! If you had asked me 3 years ago to go for a run, I would have looked at you strange and proclaimed "I don't run!" Lol! I couldn't run for long or far, so I never did it. Then I decided to set myself a goal to improve my cardio and running. Success!! Now it's my go to. Stress release? Extra energy? Cardio day? Yep I'm running. It's amazing how things change as I advance in my fitness regime. 5km run? Let's go!!! So if it's difficult now, that doesn't mean it will stay that way. It can get easier. That really applies to a lot of things in life! Keep trying. Start small. Go for it. 09.01.2022 It's Friday!!! There are only 5 more days left of the challenge, can't believe how fast the last 40 days went! The f45_training_ascotvale 45day challenge has really taught me a lot about my eating habits. I was eating too much, too often, and for the wrong reasons. Drinking more water is a great alternative when you're feeling hungry often during the day. Sometimes you're thirsty, but confuse it with hunger. My family have also really enjoyed the changes in food and dinners. Eating healthy doesn't mean boring!! I'll definitely be carrying over my new food habits post challenge.
