24.01.2022 We have been busy over the weekend installing our newest Shingleback Off Road bike rack. We already have the three-bike vertical rack, but wanted something that would work on our caravan. And Andrew and Kimberly from Shingleback Off Road delivered. Introducing the 2B90 2-bike vertical rack. And we reckon this is a game-changer in the bike rack world.... We will be adapting it to fit on our Jayco Sterling caravan in the next few weeks, allowing us the flexibility of taking our bikes either on the Landcruiser or on the caravan - the best of both worlds. 22.01.2022 We are now the proud owners of The Bush Company roof-top tent and awning. And we LOVE them! After so many years mainly camping in our caravan, we are definitely looking forward to getting out and about in areas that no caravan should go (although not for want of trying). YAY!! See you in the great outdoors :-)
21.01.2022 Today is World Digital Preservation Day - a pretty important day around my workplace. For all us travellers, it provides the perfect opportunity to look at how we preserve our photo and video files. We all take hundreds, if not thousands, of photos each year. Where do yours end up? Neatly catalogued and preserved on multiple storage devices? Or dumped onto the hard drive of your computer? Worse yet, a permanent fixture on your mobile phone or SD card? Speak to anyone and they... will have their own method for backing up and preserving photo and video files. Ultimately you will need to find the one system or workflow that works best for you. That being said, this blog post details what works best for us, both while we are travelling and when we get home. We hope you find it informative, and I would welcome any comments you may wish to leave. I love learning about new technology and new ways to do things. 09.01.2022 Today is one of those cloudy drizzly days which forces you to stay indoors. A perfect day for doing some much needed cataloguing of photos. I have fond memories of these ones - my sister and family visited from down south so we took the opportunity to go to Point Cartwright with them.
