16.01.2022 Lights, sound and solar action at Algie Hall Algie Hall in Neerim South is in the spotlight, with upgrades ahead that include entrance lighting, stage lighting,... a state of the art audio-visual system, improved acoustics, and air conditioning for summer comfort. The halls Committee of Management has been granted $40,950 under the Latrobe Valley Authoritys $20 million Community Facility Fund toward refurbishing and upgrading costs. Algie Hall will also benefit from the State Governments Solar on Public Buildings Program being delivered by DELWP. The hall is one of 30 public buildings in Latrobe Valley to receive solar systems upgrades to help reduce emissions and cut costs. The Latrobe Valley Authoritys Community Facility Fund has allocated 74 grants for facility upgrades and events for a total of $4,147,819 benefiting community groups throughout Latrobe City, Wellington Shire and Baw Baw Shire. 09.01.2022 I just dropped a new batch of my prints to The Serigraph Gallery at Neerim South. They are open weekends and by appointment. The gallery, in an old bank right on the roundabout, is full of beautiful paintings and artisan pieces. Chris and Keith serve excellent & on weekends!
