13.01.2022 Continuing our series shining a spotlight on our Narangba Eagles Miniroos and Juniors, here’s our Under 15 Girls Div 2 and a few words from their team manager, Jade Back row (L-R): Lucee, Chelsey, Brianna, Katie, Emily, Jacqui, Ruby, Kya, Chloe, India, Kaylee, Bella, Kain (Coach). Front row: Brooke.... Coach: Kain Manager: Jade Last week the girls came up against their arch rival, Caboolture, in a game that stopped hearts, had arms flapping and spectators gasping for air! This was our biggest game of the season and our last opportunity to show Caboolture we are not a push-over. In the first round, we secured a 5-3 win with no substitutesand a 33 degree lunchtime game! Although confident, we knew the Caboolture girls were not going to roll over so easily this time and we had to dig deep to come out on top again. The game was very evenly matched with both teams displaying skill and tactics. We all watched on the edge of our seats as the score climbed one goal at a time, creating lots of nervous tension! By the time the final whistle blew, the girls walked (limped) away with a 3-3 draw but some massive smiles on our faces! We’ve managed to sit ourselves just above Caboolture on the ladder and look forward to playing them in the future. Well done girls, you’ve done us proud again! Cheers Jade and good luck for the rest of the season girls!

04.01.2022 We're shining the spotlight on our ‘Under 10 Pele’ team this week. Here they are... Back L-R: Jack, Micah, Patrick, Seb Middle L-R: Cienna, Ayden, Cam (Coach), Levi M, Josh (Coach)... Front L-R: Blake, Parker, Declan, Linc, Levi I Manager: Lacey Clark Without giving U10 Pele's tactics away, it sounds like they might be very focussed on attacking from the wings! Blake, Patrick, Seb and Levi I all list the wing as their favoured position... Seb tells us that he likes delivering in great crosses from wide as well as cutting inside to help out the strikers. Patrick states that he enjoys passing, scoring and assisting his team mates from this position whilst Levi I likes to charge up and down the touchline defending as well as attacking. Blake says he simply plays there best and who are we to argue? The defensive line-up of Ayden, Parker and Linc sounds solid with Parker commenting that he defends the goal well next to Linc who loves to get the ball off the opposition. Ayden likes to be there to help the goalkeeper and to move the ball up the field. Micah loves to hold the ball up with his control in midfield alongside Declan who enjoys helping his team mates by passing to the strikers. Cienna plays as a left-sided forward and loves setting up goals. Jack reckons that he also loves to set the ball up for a goal. This all makes perfect sense because Levi M says (and we quote) "I like to play centre forward so that I can position myself to smash goals". Good luck for the rest of the season legends!
