22.01.2022 Congratulations Ben on completing your apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology at Carlisle TAFE with us. It's been great to see your passion and skills in automotive service and repair work grow over the past few years. We're happy to announce that Ben is now undertaking a Cert III in Automotive Electrical Technology with us in an effort to build upon the skills he has already developed. We hope he will be able to put his new found mechanical and electrical skills to good use in the workshop. Well done Ben getting a trade under your belt!

20.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone. Where ever the road takes you and your family this Easter, please be safe. For those of you travelling long distances in this heat, keep an eye on your vehicle's fluid levels; especially coolant and oil. And be sure to check your tyre pressure before you hit the road.

19.01.2022 Calling ALL our customers and their friends. I have just done an online course in Understanding your customers and need to conduct a short survey by next Monday to find out more about what our customers and people in general think. I would be very grateful if you would provide genuine feedback and share this post with your friends so I can get as much honest and varied feedback as possible. I want to know the challenges you and your friends face when seeking a mechanic to ser...vice and repair your car? What are your fears or the obstacles you experience each time you book you car in for a service? What are you worried about? And finally what are the top 3 things you are looking for or want from your mechanic or the service experience? Please email me your feedback to [email protected] or leave a comment on this post. I need all feedback by next Monday 6 July for my online class. I hope to use this information to make improvements to the way we do business and just get a better understanding into our customers and others thinking. I will randomly drawer a reply to receive a $50 voucher to spend towards your next service or repair. Many thanks in anticipation. See more

18.01.2022 A customer's car came in this week with no drive. After some investigation we found the clutch was burnt out. And boy is it burnt out!! Here are some photos to show and tell. Notice the frayed bits in the bottom of the bell housing of the gearbox. This was the friction material that was on the clutch plate. There is now none!

17.01.2022 For 25 yrs plus of outstanding and continuous support and service in the industry by the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers.

12.01.2022 Rather noisey in the workshop today. Here's a video taken a half hour ago showing our customer's Nissan Navara 4x4, D22, 2006 disc brakes being machined.

11.01.2022 Wow talk about futuristic! Check out Mercedes latest concept car. designed by AVATAR Film Director James Cameron. Instead of a conventional steering wheel, the Vision AVTR has a multi functional control element in the centre console which allows human and machine to merge. The idea is to place your hand on the control unit and the interior comes to life. The vehicle recognises the driver by their heartbeat and breathing. Imagine the diagnostic tools we would need for this!!!... Just as well Dr Negus is on hand to listen the the AVTRs heartbeat. In a move to make the car sustainable, the premium auto company has used a revolutionary battery technology. The materials of the battery are compostable and recyclable. But there seems to be no compromise on luxury. The car doesn't have any doors, and has 33 movable, multi directional 'bionic flaps' that look like scales on a reptile. These flaps can communicate with the driver and the outside world (through the driver) in subtle gestures. Acing the 'crab movement', the car can go sideways by approximately 30 degrees. See more

11.01.2022 "How long have you owned a car for?" Came across this article the other day and thought I would post it to share with you. Mr Allen Swift pictured above,of West Hartford, Connecticut drove his car for 82 years! Incredible. They certainly don't make them like that anymore.... He received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Piccadilly-P1 Roadster from his father for his 26th bday, brand new in return for his staying with the family business. He drove it up until his death in 2005.....at the age of 102 !!! After he purchased the car, Swift visited the Springfield plant several times for service, adding that they were always very helpful. He also did some of his own maintenance, changing the oil, and once taking the engine apart. Reportedly the vehicle never broke down. Mr. Swift used the car for his daily commute until 1958. He also made many long- distance trips. He estimated that by 2003 the car had 172,000 miles on the road. He was the oldest living owner of a car that was purchased new. Just thought you'd like to see it. It was donated to a Springfield museum after his death. That's British engineering of a by gone era. I don't think they make them like that any more.

10.01.2022 We would like to welcome our 19 yr old son Riley to Negus Auto Services. Riley is our new apprentice auto mechanic. He has a keen interest in everything 4WD related and is eager to learn from his old man. We wish him the best of luck in his new venture and studies at Carlisle TAFE.

01.01.2022 First day back today. Almost the end of the day and we feel like we haven't left! But we're not complaining. Very busy and HOT with a water pump fitment on a 76 series 2010 Landcruiser (nice vehicle), checking smoke blowing out the back of a Kluger, fitting new tyres, 4wd service on a Hilux plus more. Look forward to seeing all of our older and newer customers again soon. Now taking bookings from 25th January onwards. We will be closed for Tuesday 26 January for Australia Day however.

01.01.2022 Hello everyone. We have checked the current alert and conditions and have received clarification from the MTA WA that we can continue to carry out car servicing and repairs during the next 5 days. So it is business as usual.! However, in an effort to help reduce any chance of the Virus from reaching our elderly loved ones and those who are more prone to fall sick in our community; please be aware we're trying out best to ensure we maintain clean and safe workshop practices du...ring the Virus pandemic and when servicing your vehicle. This includes washing our hands with soap often and disinfecting any parts of the vehicle we come into contact with as part of our service. Please note it is our preference, where possible, you use our lock and drop off key hole on arrival. Simply drop your keys down the hole in the workshop wall next to the down pipe. Look out for the A4 directional signage. This will minimize the need for you to come into reception. We will also limit the number of customers in reception at any one time to two people. We also kindly ask our customers to please use the anti-bacterial gel pump when entering our reception area and before using the Eftpos machine to help reduce any chances of contamination. Many thanks indeed. See more

01.01.2022 In our workshop today one of the jobs our Bosch Car Service mechanics are tackling, is replacing the front shock absorbers in a customers Nissan Patrol 4WD. Ben and Simon had a bit of trouble unseizing some nuts but finally got the old shocks off and replaced them with KYB shock absorbers. The pics show the work in progress. They also replaced a faulty electric window switch.

01.01.2022 Boy what a week. Have been chasing our tails in the workshop from services, radiator fitments, shock absorber and wheel bearing replacements, front and rear disc brake services and AC services. Next week have starter motor, spring bushes, steering damper (steering wobble issue), throttle and turbo lacking power problems, more services, tyre replacements and much more.
