25.01.2022 A great reminder from Patterson River Fire Brigade about BBQ equipment safety!!

19.01.2022 Have you seen Anwarbir? The 24-year-old was last seen at his Wollert home about 7.30am on Tuesday. It’s believed he may have travelled to the Aspendale area.... We have concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character. Anyone who sees Anwarbir is urged to call Broadmeadows Police Station on 9302 8222. #210287395

11.01.2022 Good morning all, well; the last time we hit 38 degrees around here, COVID-19 was still a baby in nappies and wearing masks was still only something the bad guy...s did! Like so many things, we tend to forget all of the important messages that we need to understand to stay safe, when the temperatures have been far more moderate for so much of this summer so far. But today is going to be a scorcher, so here'a a couple of friendly reminders for you and your precious Furbaby's. The biggest thing to look for is the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke, one will make you feel a little lousy, the other could be life threatening, so understanding the differences is pretty important. Also today, please remember to check on others. Elderly friends, family members, and neighbours, are some of the highest folks at risk, so a knock at the door or a quick phone call could make all the difference. Take Fido out for his morning walk nice and early if you can, before the day really warms up. Remember as a kid, crossing the hot road with no shoes on, well that's what it can feel like on a cat or dogs paws. Drink lots of water and wear light clothes. Take care of yourself and others and stay well. See more

10.01.2022 Keep an eye out for Mia, sometimes travels to Patterson Lakes.

04.01.2022 It's been a busy night for Red Team, attending to 6 jobs between 1.30 am and 6.00 am this morning. We had a trampoline that had blown into a car from a neighbou...rs garden in Carrum and a small tin shed that lifted off from the back yard and landed in the front yard of a house in Aspendale, the shed will never be the same again as when our crew arrived, it was in pieces on the front lawn. We then had a tree down that was blocking Frankston bound lanes on Nepean Highway at Parkdale and another tree blocking the road in Palm Beach Drive, in Patterson Lakes. A 2 storey home in Edithvale lost flashing from its roof and then this sign at BUPA on Station Street in Edithvale, was sheared off at the base and came down onto their driveway. The sign company will be attending later to remove the sign. With the wind continuing for most of today, it could be a busy one for our crews, so if you find yourself in need of emergency SES assistance, simply call 132 500 and we will get to you as soon as we can, but please be patient. Take care and stay safe. See more
