We are absolutely OVER THE MOON to announce that Neck Of The Woods Music Festival 2021 will be returning to our beautiful community on the 4th of July 2021 for one night only, after the heartbreaking cancellation of our 2020 festival. We are so excited to announce our biggest lineup yet in the coming weeks. #NOTW has been reimagined with a few changes to keep the community safe in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival will be sneaking a l...ittle closer to the city this year, to a beautiful new home, Anderson Park Botanical Gardens, in Townsville. #NOTW will not include camping this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, however the festival will still feature much loved lifestyle activities such as yoga workshops, art installations, an interactive children’s area and a festival marketplace showcasing Townsville’s best street food and artisan market stalls. #NOTW2021 is presented in partnership with the Townsville City Council for the Northern Fringe Festival. I wrote it about how I've been feeling pretty helpless lately..., and how I really want to give all of my friends a big hug. This project has given me something really positive to focus on over the last few weeks and I'm very excited to send it into the world. 14.01.2022 Statement regarding Neck Of The Woods 2020: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we are absolutely heartbroken to announce that Neck Of The Woods Music Festival 2020, scheduled for 4-5 July, is cancelled. We are strictly following the advice of the Queensland Government, the Australian Government, and the World Health Organisation with respect to the safety of public gatherings. Current advice from the Australian government is to cancel non-essential, organised gatheri...ngs of more than 500 people. We value the safety of our artists, guests and team above all else, and although this situation hits us very hard (emotionally and financially), we cannot risk the safety of our community. This announcement wasn’t an easy one for us to make - we pour an immense amount of love, time and money into curating NOTW every year. Neighbours, we can’t explain how much you mean to us and how much we value the support you have given us since we established in early 2017. We work incredibly hard to support local artists and we know that this news will hit hard for a lot of our local bands and songwriters too. Please be there for each other and stay safe. If you purchased an Earlybird ticket to NOTW 2020, we will contact you directly via email in the coming days. Please be patient with us - there is an intense demand on ticketing companies for refunds at the moment - we are working through this with our ticketing platform Eventbrite and will keep you informed on the process. 10.01.2022 Tune in every Tuesday night at 7:30pm for Neighbourhood Stream Sessions <3 Episode 1 featuring Colie Neighbourhood Sessions had big plans for 2020, as did many of our local musicians. These are unprecedented times, times we have to be incredibly careful and care for one another. We also have to find things to do, to adapt, to appease our boredom and stress, and to find some positivity in each day. Unfortunately, by nature the Neighbourhood Sessions team wiggle uncontrollably... when we have little to do, somewhat flailing around like a fish out of water. So in these unprecedented times we will wiggle around, doing what we can do whilst practicing social isolation and we would like to wiggle around in a virtual sense with you, Neighbours A few weeks ago, pre-total lockdown we pre-recorded some live concerts which we would like to share with our Neighbourhood. We invited a few brilliant local artists and bands to record a virtual live concert. These virtual events are free, however if you would like to support these artist and Neighbourhood Sessions we have tickets available to purchase for a local future Neighbourhood Sessions event at this link: https://www.notw.com.au//future-neighbourhood-sessions-eve This ticket sales will help keep Neighbourhood Sessions alive and come out of this with events on the other side of this. You do not have to purchase a future ticket to enjoy our virtual live sessions. But it would be greatly appreciated by us and the local artists we engage. 03.01.2022 Time to get prepared for #NOTW2021 - IN TWO WEEKS! Neck Of The Woods is only 2 weeks away and we can’t wait to start making #NOTW2021 memories with you all! We ...know you’re just as excited as us, but often we get so caught up in the excitement we end up forgetting some things! So we have made a list of handy tips for you to tick off before you embark on your NOTW journey! Ps. Don't forget #NOTW2021 is on a LONG WEEKEND in Townsville due to the Townsville Show - no work on Monday - YAY! WHAT TO BRING: 1. YOUR TICKET - If you bought a ticket online, either print it out and pack it, or make sure it’s saved to your smart phone/device. 2. PHOTO ID - If you’re over 18, you’ll need to bring a current Government issued ID. If you’re under 18, you can bring: ATM card, school card, library card or bus pass. 3. CASH &/OR CARD We will have an ATM on site this year (yay!) however we still recommend you come prepared with cash in your wallet. Eftpos facilities will be available at the gate and at most food vendors. 4. CHAIRS - We recommend that you bring a chair to Neck Of The Woods so that your festival experience is as comfy as possible. FRIENDS - Grab a friend and make your way to NOTW.
