25.01.2022 Just a hop, skip and jump from the middle of Canberra, the Gibraltar Falls are a cascade waterfall with a 50 metre drop. 08.01.2022 Adventuring at Point Ormond. Originally called Little Red Bluff, it was named after Captain Ormond who sailed up Port Phillip Bay in 1939. It was St Kilda's first graveyard, a Quarantine Station , and in the 1890's was mined for coal. It now provides excellent walking and great views north to the city of Melbourne. 07.01.2022 What an adventure! Emma, Matt and I explored the wild surf and rocky Bass Strait coastline - Flinders blowhole. Beautiful view from above, but totally worth the trek down. A spectacular stretch of beach with lava surface and many small pools to investigate. The day we went the waves were wild, and it felt safe to explore away from the surf. Just spectacular scenery. The Gardens date back to 1859 and provide a great well maintained garden in the middle of suburbia.It has some 810 mature tree species, a rose garden a rain man fountain, and a sub-tropical area as well. 05.01.2022 A great adventure to kick start the weekend! Sarah, Matt and headed to Gibraltar Falls starting early to avoid the crowds. Gibraltar Falls is the only readily accessible waterfall in the ACT. It has a 50 metre near vertical drop over a granite outcrop, with a viewing platform just below the top lip of the falls, a dizzying view below and an outlook to the valley downstream. ...
