22.01.2022 COVID RECOVERY PLAN FOR GLEN EIRA Job Creation and Small Business Support In my recent brochures I have highlighted the need for our Council to do far more in helping our community to recover from the worst pandemic and recession in living memory. At present there is a modest support package but it needs to be increased and far more proactive in its actions.... In short we’re going to need a Covid-19 recovery plan for traders, unemployed and the residents of our local area. If elected I will work hard to do this and introduce the following initiatives; - Open air and street dining for all in our shopping strips where possible to support traders. - Transforming vacant shop fronts into new local businesses, pop-ups and arts spaces to stimulate the economy. - Startup and innovation grants to help new and local business get off the ground or get back and functioning - Mentor and coaching network for small business. - Stronger connections with our local TAFE. - Reduction of council rates for businesses in difficult economic circumstances. Looking forward to hearing from local residents and local businesses on further initiatives.

12.01.2022 Standing as a progressive independent won't be easy. Other candidates with political party connections will have access to networks, especially with signage and advertising. My campaign is entirely self-funded. Please consider displaying one of my bright new campaign signs.

11.01.2022 VOTE FOR RATES RELIEF FOR OUR COMMUNITY I could not believe recently that all the current Councilors in Glen Eira voted to increase our rates! This in the middle of the worst pandemic and recession in living memory with many households and local businesses at breaking point. Looking around at surrounding Councils both Stonnington and Kingston have frozen rates. Monash have offered a rates rebate in the form of around 6%... My final brochure going out at the end of this week will highlight this issue. Your vote will help me to introduce a freeze on rates and support our community and especially small local businesses to recover from this dire situation.

05.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for their messages of support and best wishes, its into the home straight of the campaign as they say! The ballot postal packs were all sent out last week. All eligible voters should have received these packs by early this week. Remember voting is compulsory and ballot papers need to be posted by 6pm on Friday 23rd October. My last brochure including a how to vote guide is featured below. All boxes need to be filled in and numbered.... Thank you for your support , it is very much appreciated and will help to deliver better outcomes for our wonderful community.

01.01.2022 Like to highlight today one of Glen Eira's many wonderful community organizations - the Carnegie Toy Library. Previously housed in crampt conditions nearby at the outdoor pool facility it was with great pleasure in 2014 to open their renovated new premises in Munro Rd.
