19.01.2022 National Disability Insurance Scheme Registration Toward the end of September 2015 'Neilson Social Work Services' became registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to provide supports to participants (people with a disability) registered with the NDIS also. The supports 'Neilson Social Work Services' is registered to provide include THERAPEUTIC SUPPORTS (counselling) and EARLY CHILDHOOD SUPPORTS (support for children 0-5 with a disability or developmenta...l delay and their family). I am ready to start receiving referrals directly from participants or from their family members, support persons or advocates or from Planners registered with the NDIS coordinating supports on behalf of participants. 14.01.2022 NEW counselling option: SKYPE Counselling In wanting to expand service delivery and options for prospective clients to access 'Neilson Social Work Services' I am adding counselling on SKYPE to the ways prospective clients can access counselling. Currently, I offer FACE-TO-FACE counselling for prospective clients in the core catchment areas of Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock and the Central Coast; TELEPHONE COUNSELLING across the State of New South Wales for p...rospective clients who live outside of the core catchment areas; and now SKYPE Counselling across the State of New South Wales also for prospective client living outside of the core catchment areas. On a case-by-case basis, I will together with a prospective client living outside of New South Wales, yet within Australia, determine whether SKYPE counselling is suitable or an alternative method of support for them compared to other options for support in their area. I will be using Skype for Business for all SKYPE counselling sessions which is a paid version of SKYPE offering additional protection online; and have developed some new guidelines to better ensure privacy and confidentiality online. 01.01.2022 Having trouble accepting difficult feelings; suppressed feelings even? I am writing to let people know about a new service offering. Since September 2015, I have been offering gatherings in Sydney and Newcastle to support people with accepting feelings. The feelings could be about a past or current event. I have seen the benefit of this work for those who attend the gatherings and would now like to start offering the same opportunities to individuals and small groups. ...
