25.01.2022 Alot of clients ask me what actually is a"knot" So here's a close up look of the muscle fibers. The continously contracted knot in the muscle fiber stops blood flow at the trigger point starving tissue of oxygen and nutrients. Metabolic waste and toxins build in the area causing pain, tension, and spasm in the muscle.#knots#adhesions #triggerpoints#massage#painrelease#injuryprevention!!!

25.01.2022 The last couple of weeks i have had a number of clients with low back pain. We constantly hear about low back pain and how it is prevalent in today's society. Although people are hitting the gym and exercising the majority of our days are still sat at a desk. This involves us being in a flexed position leading to compression of our vertebral discs, couple this with lifting weights or exercise else where and you have a catalyst for potential back pain. The point is not to sto...p exercise but to address the issue. Spend less time sat down where possible and work on core stability and stretching. A stable trunk will prevent you flexing under heavy load and help prevent injury. #pain#health #strength #therapy #injuryprevention See more

09.01.2022 Kinesiology Tape: Been using alot of this Tape recently, here are a few of the benefits. Muscle Support: Kinesio tape supports the muscle’s ability to contract. This can relieve any pain or fatigue felt in the muscle and prevents cramping.... Joint Corrections: Using the tape properly will increase the range of motion in your joints and loosen your muscles. Allowing flow of body fluids: Kinesio tape promotes and improves blood and lymphatic circulation. This will reduce inflammation in your body’s tissue. How it Works: Traditional taping methods work by constraining your muscles and holding them together tightly to prevent movement and further injury. Kinesio taping works in the opposite way. It aims to allow full movement by opening up your muscles. Kinesio tape is applied on and around an injury or strain, but the muscle or tendon is never encircled with the tape as this constrains movement. The tape works by moving the skin and connective tissue away from the injured area, allowing lymphatic fluid to flow freely and heal the inflamed tissue. This allows your body to naturally heal yourself, and many claim it relieves pain, reducing the need for prescription medication.
