19.01.2022 Our family has received so much support from kind and generous people over the past few months that the experience really left us without proper words to explai...n all the emotions we are feeling. We are so very thankful, amazed, grateful, humbled and absolutely overwhelmed by the recent events, sometimes we really need pinch ourselves to confirm this is not a dream and get a reminder to just take a pause and breathe. In addition to receiving such fantastic response to our GoFundMe campaign since Markos story aired on TV, last night we were also given a more than generous donation of $8,836 raised by Greensborough Serbian Orthodox Church Of Sv Sava to assist with the costs of Markos treatment. Our dear friends Nikola & Adela Vidicki-Mastilovich together with Fr Vlad ipovac and the wonderful Serbian community of Greensborough parish organised a fundraising event in the church hall on the 21 June. We are so sorry that we were unable to attend having been in hospital with Marko at the time, but it truly brings tears to our eyes (happy tears!!) to know that we are surrounded by such caring and generous community to help us through the most challenging times of our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you you, our wonderful, wonderful friends and community! We love you

17.01.2022 Dad made us very proud today by speaking openly for the Today show about difficulties that families like ours experience while trying to raise funds for their c...hilds medical treatment. We were very surprised last night when producers from Nine network approached us about the story, and very overwhelmed by the support that ensued after the interview was aired! We wish to thank everyone for their generosity that does not cease to amaze us. At the same time this story so clearly illustrates the power of the media to make or break someones opportunity to get funding for medical expenses not covered by Medicare or insurance. We hope we continue to raise awareness around this important problem, as there are probably hundreds of people and families with equally important problems who were not able to get the same exposure, and were potentially unable to raise sufficient funds. This is simply not fair nor right, and while we fight for Marko, well continue to advocate for the equality of access for all Australians. 03.01.2022 Hospital day no. 38 and a photo inspired by children book illustrations Books have been a welcome passtime for the last few days as we are not allowed to leav...e the ward again. Poor Marko now has a urinary tract infection, which combined with the effects of high dose chemo received as part of his transplant has caused some bleeding in his bladder. For this reason he needs to be on IV fluids 24/7 until everything gets washed out. But hes feeling well overall, hes not in any pain and has been able to tolerate his feeds much better which is a good sign that hes on the mend. It just takes time, but were both soldiering on! Our favourite book at the moment (and ever since Marko got unwell) is Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes by Mem Fox. It finishes with three little kisses on the tip of the nose which always results in a flood of giggles. Such precious moments! I must admit that I am guilty of enjoying this opportunity to have so much one-on-one time with Marko, despite the sterile hospital environment. Its always a struggle to give each of three boys all the attention they deserve, even in the best of times. There will surely be a lot of catching up to do with his brothers too once we get home! I look forward to that day with my whole heart, I love them and miss them so, so much
