23.01.2022 Its almost Halloween! The Widow sugar skull. Part of a trilogy of masks I recently made.... Although dia de los muertos is traditionally a celebration of death (or life passing into other worlds) the culture and origin of sugar skulls has inspired me to not fear death but rather celebrate the life of those who have passed on. Like Halloween we embrace and overcome fear by dressing in its theme and making it a celebration rather than something to be afraid of. 21.01.2022 It has been a long journey since January 8th 2020. Much has transpired from the visit back to the states. Since coming back home to Airlie, we have been hit with the death of my partner 1 month after arriving and then the COVID 2 weeks after his death so finding courage and strength to create anything had been an obstacle to overcome. BEAUTY FOR ASHES... Today we are set up at the Whitsunday Arts Festival and have managed to keep things from flying away. Attached is a small peak at what is up on display. We are also now on Instagram. Trying to get fully set up with social media.

11.01.2022 Finally back home after visiting family and friends in the states for some beautiful time. Feeling inspired, blessed and amazed that we are being called back to amazing Australia.
