22.01.2022 Pisang Sorbet (banana sorbet) with "Cooking Ala Nell"; very easy and tasty recipe :-) One cup each (white sugar; water and mashed banana); add 1/2 tsp of diluted turmeric (optional) as a good medicine :-) In small sauce pan, stir together sugar and water until boil; remove it from heat and let it cool. Pour the mashed banana in to the sugar syrup. pour in to any container and freeze it for 3-4 hours; after that take it out from the freezer and use an electrical mixer to beat until smooth. Back again to the freezer until they set gently, at least 2 hours. 19.01.2022 Not so many people like tofu because the taste of tofu is very plain. Those people who vegetarian they like tofu, but non vegetarian people would like to try tofu in their meal as well, as long as they cook and make a nice taste. :-) Crunchy tofu dip in honey sauce, it's the way to go (y) Tofu, also known as bean curd, is a food cultivated by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. 19.01.2022 Banana and almond cake with "Cooking Ala Nell" Six medium lady finger banana, 2 cups of flour and milk, 2 or 3 eggs, a dash of condensed milk, sprinkle of cinnamon, a tablespoon of butter; a handful of shredded almond. Mash the banana and mix with the rest of the ingredients until they mix very well. Pour the almond in to the dough. 12.01.2022 Banana Crepe's with Cooking Ala Nell !! Three medium ripe banana; 1 3/4 cups of flour coconut cream and milk; 2 cups mashed banana, 3 eggs; tbsp of butter. Blend all the ingredients together until they mix well and add melted butter. Heat the pan in a medium heat and pour it to make a mini crepe's look like pike-let :-) Serve with jam and cream :-) Come and try scrumptious Nell's Famous Indonesian Food every Wednesday and Friday at Arcadia Hotel. 10.01.2022 Some people come home from work about 6.00 pm and have to be in bed by 9.00 pm, because they need to leave home again by 6 am. Do you really need big dinner every night ? "Cooking Ala Nell" will show you how to have very simple dinner home made spicy tuna dip with avocado, macadamia paste and sweet chili sauce dip with biscuits :-) Tuna dip ingredients are, 2 can of tuna,onion, garlic, ginger, red curry paste, a dash of cumin and coriander powder; coconut cream. 06.01.2022 My brain have been incubated for a while of doing new cooking menu. I substitute with work a lot renovated my house last year and fix my veggie garden recently :-) I have beautiful Japanese lady Hiro Sugano, when she cook Japanese food, she use some of Japanese ingredients like wakame (a type of sea weed and panco (a Japanese bread crumbs). So, I try to modified her cooking with my Indonesian back ground of food as well came with my new addition. So, now I came with a dish...es call "wakanel" (sticky rice, wakame and salmon). 02.01.2022 Among-est at least 22 Bays in Magnetic Island, there are about 7 or 8 bays that we can't reach by car except walking or by boat. One of that is Balding Bay (the picture showed below). One of the very peaceful beach to meditate on Magnetic Island. What a beautiful day to enjoy the precious life under the natural color of blue sky and blue ocean (no photo-shop).
