23.01.2022 While the extended lock down is drawing to an end, hopefully we will all get back to some sort of new normal next week, I thought I would share with you what has been happening at Nelsigns during this time. As a permitted industry, we have been allowed to come in and produce Covid related signage when required, under strict Covid safe conditions. We have also taken the time to expand our facility as we have taken over the factory next door and cut a large access door between ...the two. All our printers were moved into the new area and are now all in climate controlled rooms to ensure that we produce the highest quality prints for all of our amazing customers. Today we received a few new boxes of equipment that will allow us to expand into different spaces in the signage and display area. Meet the new member of our team, a Mimaki TX500P-3200DS. It is a direct to fabric dye sublimation printer that prints 3.2m wide and as long as you can imagine! (or until the roll runs out!) We look forward to showing off the quality, speed and reliability of this fantastic machine soon! 22.01.2022 Call us for protective screens to help stop the spread of Coronavirus. Precision cut from 6mm clear acrylic on our Prytec Laser, these screens can be flat packed for ease of transport and are customizable to fit any area and they interlock at different heights. Standard size is a 1200 mm x 600 mm screen with 2 end panels - gap under screen can be flush with the counter, 70mm, 140mm and 210mm.

22.01.2022 Interesting job today - we clad a full size Airbus A320 flight simulator with 4mm composite panel and then finished it off with some acrylic lettering and logos. Virtual Wings Pacific is a flight training center with the latest in hi-tech flight simulators - from a full motion Cessna and 360 degree Barron twin engine to this A320 training simulator - perfect for the budding aviator in all of us!

19.01.2022 What a week that was! Started on Monday at The Princess theatre changing the billing panel for Harry Potter - then off to the Comedy Theatre to finish the signage for Rising. Tuesday evening was a quick flight to Sydney to change the Capitol Theatre over from Frozen to Come from Away on Wednesday and Thursday - Friday was back in Melbourne prepping for Saturday to finish off the signage at Her Majesties Theatre for Frozen!

We had an enquiry that asked if we can print onto timber and can we cut it to shape and then join the 2 together. The answer is YES! And this is the end result and the client couldn't be happier... In anticipation of the re-opening of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this week, we have installed some new signs at the Princess Theater - including 2 large A frames with instructions on how to enjoy the show in a COVIDSafe environment! Don’t miss the large brass plaque installed in the road out the front! Unfortunately it wasn’t us but it is impressive!

12.01.2022 If you can imagine it, we can design and create it! We were approached by one of our many great clients to see if we could create some sort of shade over a bar area for Piper Heidsieck, the named Champagne Sponsor at the 2022 Australian Open. It had to be elegant and free standing as we couldn’t attach to any of the permanent existing structures. It also had to fit over and around a glass dividing wall and look like it was meant to be there and not a tacked on after thought!

09.01.2022 Busy week this week at some of the theatres in Melbourne - with the announcement of Come from Away re-opening in Jan 21, live bands coming back to the Forum and today’s announcement of Harry Potter resuming in Feb, we were tasked to update some of the signage and supply a sneeze guard at the Princess Theatre box office to comply with Vic health regs so that patrons can get access to great seats for all shows in a COVIDSafe manor!

04.01.2022 Fabricated and installed a re-creation of the famous ‘L’amour’ sign from Baz Luhrmann’s Moulin Rouge! Illuminated 3D printed lettering for the Moulin Rouge and flexible LED neon lights for the L’amour sign all mounted on the background of printed black velvet and 200m of festoon lights with gold poles and plenty of glitter! All for the launch of Moulin Rouge the Musical - special appearance by The Right Honorable Lord Mayor of Melbourne - Sally Capp!
