She found joy in the simplest of things, a shell found on one of her many walks to the beach, a new recipe shed mastered, digging in the earth to create her treasured flower gardens. There is much to learn from her as we face the uncertainty ahead . Although our hearts are breaking, there is positivity to be found in the COVID-19 lock downs taking place all over the world. Vogue recently interviewed sustainability queen... Haley Boyd + she had this to say when asked if Climate Change needed COVID-19s Publicist: Emissions in China are down 25%. Air travel is down. People aren't buying material goods. They're staying local. Those are some of the most important actions individuals can take, and they look a lot like what life was like not too long ago. Some of the most important climate solutions are not novel - they're the habits of our parents and grandparents. I hope for a future where all materials are valuable, used and reused, and we care for things the way our grandparents did. Here at NM HQ, Im hoping we can take something away from all this, a new way of nurturing ourselves and others, that is slower, simpler and easier on the planet.

12.01.2022 This Friday were launching our annual sample and archive sale online and wed like to chat about why. At NM we're committed to making sustainable pieces in a slow-fashion, small batch model. We dont go on sale often, so this is a special event. Jamie founded NM as she wanted to break free of the seasonal fashion calendar, a broken system, that she was part of while working as a designer for some of our most loved Australian retailers.... NM is committed to a new model of producing fashion that we are incredibly proud of. We release well edited collections in limited numbers that often sell out within a few days of launch. While this can be frustrating for some of you and means that as a business, we inevitably miss out on sales we may have made had we carried more stock, it also means that we hardly ever end up with unwanted pairs. We then produce top ups of our best sellers throughout the season, meaning we can provide the exact sizes that are out of stock for both our stockists and our own online store. Even with this model in place, it is the nature of the beast that some styles do really well and others are slower. Sales are a way for us to find homes for those slower selling styles and an opportunity for you to purchase a style that youve been coveting for ages! And so, weve curated a selection of samples that have been used for photoshoots and have minimal wear and tear that can now be repurposed into your wardrobe, alongside a selection of pieces that have been with us since our inception, have served their purpose and are now ready to find their new home with you.

Sadly, instead I have to think of how proud she would be, because this is for her and all our mob. I'm extremely humbled for being named one of the women of the year for 2020 in @marieclaireau. Everything I do is for mum, my kids, my family and for my community. I am nothing without having my mob by my side. I am the woman I am ...today because of her, my sisters, brothers, Elders and my people. Seeing how proud the mob is, and having my niece and daughter think I'm "famous" is truly the icing on the cake. I do this so they can see a strong resilient black woman who would fight to the end for them, so that they too can grow up to be strong and proud. So that no other family has to experience what we have. I just love my people. We are truly blessed to have one another and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. See more
