19.01.2022 2020 definitely brought some greatness amongst the challenges. I found some amazing people who became part of the NM team. I am super grateful everyday for their commitment and awesome skills. Taught many people how to mend and make their clothes last longer in my studio and at UQ. Did some sensational photo shoots with some super talented people in front and behind the cameras. ... Learned some new ways to make NM even more conscious by perfecting my Natural dyeing process. Welcomed sweet boy Fred to our family And began stocking in @practice.studio , another store to add to our wonderful list of amazing stockists. 01.01.2022 Within our Road Trip Collection we have some gorgeous eucalyptus + iron dyed Lyocell pieces. We scavenge the eucalyptus leaves from out the back of our Nelson Molloy studio in Indooroopilly we use soy milk as a fixative and then leave the fabric to dry. Next we bundle up the eucalyptus leaves in the fabric and boil the fabric with extra eucalyptus leaves + iron. After, we let it cool + dry. We then rinse + dry again and this is all before even producing the garment! The process in total take roughly 12 hours. Each order is individually crafted and made to order so there is minimal waste within our collection. We will be releasing our Nomad Garments soon! Stay tuned
