22.01.2022 Sitelinks are an amazing feature in Google Ads! They offer advertisers additional links to pages beyond the destination landing page in your ad. Utilising ad extensions improves CTR (click through rate of your ad) by 10-15%! Whilst Google won’t always choose to show sitelinks for your ads, when they do appear your ad will take up more real estate on the search results page, stand out more visually and provide additional ways for searchers to engage with your ads. All of thes...e positives mean that your ad is far more likely to be clicked on than ads not showing a sitelink (or other ad extension). Best practice use of sitelinks involves choosing supportive / relevant pages for your sitelinks that compliment the topic / page that is your primary landing page used in your ad. If you have not created sitelinks to go along with your ads, Google may decide not to show your ad in top positions, as ads in the top 3 positions (especially position 1) often show sitelinks and other ad extensions as part of their layout.
