24.01.2022 Our weekly no-drop Saturday morning bunch rolling Meadow Bank hills and Sydney Olympic Park laps. Best way to start the weekend!

21.01.2022 Hands up if you're coming to Round 1 of Neo's Winter Road Series tomorrow at Lansdowne Reserve? Sign-on from 2pm, racing from 3pm.

20.01.2022 Every Sunday from 31 Jan 2021. Gates open 2pm.

19.01.2022 The Goulburn Junior Tour was a great success with a Prologue, Road Race, ITT and Road Race run over two days in the best possible weather. Thankfully the cold and wind stayed away! Off the back of the track season, Team Neo finished its first road tour for 2021 with some medals, a number of PBs and most importantly, strong camaraderie between our riders. Podium finishes: ... U9 Boys - Adrian Zhang TT Road Race U11 Boys - Zwi Ratajczak (SXCC) on GC U11 Boys - James Zucchiatti 5th on GC U13 Boys - Ollie Taylor on GC U13 Boys - Ruben Shepard (RCC) on GC U13 Boys - Charlie Smith (RCC) 5th on GC Alexandra Hyett finished her first road tour in a highly competitive JW17 field, with a very credible 7th on GC. Jeremy Cannon raced strongly in the bunch in an equally tough JM17 field, for 18th on GC. Luca Zucchiatti and Josh Moore finished 7th and 8th on GC in the U13 Boys. Charlotte and Hannah Hussein were also on their first tour in the U11 Girls. Great to also see Wyatt and Harvey Delforce (SXCC) racing on Day 2 in the U9 and U11 Boys. Cooper Finkbeiner (StGCC) had a fall in the U15 Boys road race and we wish him a speedy recovery. Congrats everyone! Next stop: Port Macquarie Junior Tour - 29/30 May. Come join us for another fun weekend touring! New tourers always welcome.

19.01.2022 Calling all riders who have not yet turned 10. We are looking for volunteers in helmet research to be conducted at Lidcombe Oval on Round 4 from 2pm. This is important to help identify better fitting helmets and as a fundraiser for the club. Every volunteer can contribute $50 to the club from the researcher. We will run balance bike races, so please bring your littlest riders and their balance bikes. -They especially can also help in this fundraiser.... All those participating will receive a free sausage sizzle from the canteen. Please check your email for details. -If you can't find it, try looking in your junk/spam folders. Moving it to your inbox is the best way to tell most mail clients that it is not spam/junk.

19.01.2022 Track training is back on Tuesday & Thursday evenings till the end of March. Training with Stelio from the 5th, then with Gay from the 19th. Racing from the 31st.

19.01.2022 A great day of racing for Day 1 of the Port Macquarie Junior Tour. Lots of strong performances and a chance for Neo riders to race the course ahead of the NSW Road championships here in August. We're hoping the weather holds for Day 2.

18.01.2022 Three more quality club loaner bikes for new track riders. Come and try. We'll sort you out. . . Two of these are mine.

18.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to all the women who provide love and care for our children! A single day isn’t enough to express our gratitude... Obviously no racing today at Lansdowne - we’ll be back next Sunday 16th.

18.01.2022 Trying out #utshaberfield as a coffee stop for the Thursday morning ride.

17.01.2022 Fabulous day of racing at Day 1 of the Goulburn Junior Tour today in perfect conditions. A challenging course but smiles all around. Well done Team Neo!

15.01.2022 Round 2 of the Neo Track Series returns this Sunday. It's looking like there will be $110 on the A/B wheel-race. For every five adults (or 10 juniors in adult grades) there is another $50 thrown into the prize pool. 2pm - Gates/Sign-on 3pm - First event.

15.01.2022 Don't forget to renew your membership before you arrive at track this arvo. You may also need to take a moment to claim your Active Kids voucher for juniors. Step 5 is the trap that people fall into. You need to select "Renew" if you are already in our system from a previous season.

14.01.2022 Balance Bike Racing will start this week as a trial run for a few weeks. If successful, we will keep it up. Events are free for all BB riders. There will be two races including an Enduro (426m) and a Sprint (90m). Full size riders will not be impacted by the BB Enduro. The event will kick off at 3pm before the start of the TT. (i) Balance bike race starts on track while TT riders stand in the chute (ii) after the start, TT riders cross the track and will be placed in order fo...r the TT in the infield alongside the track. (iii) TT riders cheer the BB riders as they come around for the finish (iv) you may move on to the track when you hear the announcement over the microphone. The BB Sprint will run between the last scratch and first handicap race. BB riders need to assemble at the second gate 90m from the finish line during the A grade scratch race. We won't be waiting for little legs to get there. If you plan to give it a try, please register as a casual at http://neocycling.org.au/join/ and don't forget to use the "FirstTimeFree" discount code to get it free.

13.01.2022 Round 9 has been cancelled. If we were ever to see a firenado at Lidcombe Oval, today would be the day.

11.01.2022 Round 9 will be delayed by one hour today; 3pm gates open, 4pm first event, 6pm or earlier finish. -This will result in a cooler start and finish by up to 6 degrees. The "Feels like" temperature will be as low as 22 degrees. -This is lower than my AC setting! I've never understood "Feels like" -I'd love to be there when a police officer is giving a meteorologist a speeding ticket. "But officer, it feels like 50km/h"

11.01.2022 Congrats to Jamie O'Callaghan, 3rd in the NSW U/17 Omnium Championships. Neo riders were well featured in the medals at the two-day Goulburn and Bowral track carnival. Jeremy Cannon (1st) and Cooper Finkbeiner (3rd) in U/15 Motor Pace. Georgia O'Callaghan made a strong return to the track, taking out the U/17 Women's Wheelrace, and Ollie Taylor, Josh Moore and Ruben Shepard (Randwick CC) were consistently at the front end of the U/13 field.

09.01.2022 Round 5 (1/11/2020) is cancelled. The weather forecast is looking dire for this afternoon. We normally try to provide our last weather update by 1pm, however we prefer to call it off early to give people a chance to make other plans if we feel the chance of fining up is minimal. Here is a link to our weather policy in our FAQ page: http://neocycling.org.au/faqs/#weatherpolicy

07.01.2022 A new school term has started, that means all training fees should now have been paid for this term. Thanks for the early birds always appreciate not having to follow up on everyone. Remember your foam roller and yoga mat. Rob will be back again tonight for week 3 of our strength and conditioning classes.

07.01.2022 Tamara loved her first ride on her Hillbrick Bicycles track bike.

07.01.2022 Well done Andrew Phillips on a hard fought 12th in the NSW U/19 Criterium Championships on Sunday morning in Broke, finishing in the bunch. Congrats to race winner Brayden Bloch (Randwick CC), pictured on Andrew’s wheel. Brayden and Andrew recently finished 1st and 2nd in Division 2 at Heffron with a gutsy two man breakaway from a quality field. Andrew then backed it up on Sunday afternoon at Round 2 of Neo’s Winter Road Series at Lansdowne with a new club record in the ITT... of 2:49.283! Still fairly new to bike racing, Andrew continues to go from strength to strength and is a fabulous role model of hard work, grit and determination.
