The new law requires all public and large p...roprietary companies to introduce a Whistleblower Policy. A large proprietary company is one that has at least two of the following criteria: consolidated revenue in excess of $50 million; consolidated gross assets of more than $25 million; or at least 100 employees within the company and the entities it controls. . The Whistleblower Policy must be in place by 1 January 2020, otherwise companies may risk fines. 05.01.2022 The Fair Work Commission has announced a 3% increase to award wages and the national minimum wage. The increase takes effect from the first full pay period that... starts on or after 1 July 2019. The new national minimum wage will be $740.80 (up from $719.20) per week or $19.49 per hour (up from $18.93 per hour). Were working on updating our pay tools with the new rates. 04.01.2022 We are hearing mixed things with regards to what companies are doing around temporary closure. Our allied health clients are obviously pushing through till they are forced to close, but are taking lots of precautions in the meantime! Boutique law firms have started to push staff to WFH or are staggering hours and/or paying for parking reducing commute exposure for staff. Tonight we have heard a great idea that some organisations are doing 50/50 - week A and week B - with on...e group working from home for 1 week then rotating with the other group. The 2 groups never come into contact with each other and steps are taken to ensure that each group contain essential skilled staff to keep the organisation running smoothly. What a geat idea for those 's () that aren't quite on board with the idea of a virtual office and staff working remotely!
