18.01.2022 Nepalese movie screening 6pm tonight

17.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW THIS? During the ultimately unsuccessful Gallipoli campaign in 1915, the Gurkhas were among the first to arrive and the last to leave. The 1st/6th ...Gurkhas, having landed at Cape Helles, led the assault during the first major operation to take out a Turkish high point, and in doing so captured a feature that later became known as "Gurkha Bluff". At Sari Bair they were the only troops in the whole campaign to reach and hold the crest line and look down on the Straits, which was the ultimate objective. The 2nd Battalion of the 3rd Gurkha Rifles (2nd/3rd Gurkha Rifles) was involved in the conquest of Baghdad. On this ANZAC DAY, let's pay our respect to Gurkhas, bravest of the Brave, Most Generous of the Generous and Our Pride.

11.01.2022 Nepalese movie jatrai jatra screening tonight 6pm!

09.01.2022 Generosity showed by Pawan Kandel and Bikash Khanal Organizer of Nepali movie Jatrai Jatra in Albury wodonga which is screening on 16th June in Regent Cinema Albury $1 from each ticket sold will go to Paras KC fundraising. Here is a message from his wife to all donors. Dear All... Please take a moment to read my small note. My name is Sajita Rajbhandari and I am a mother of two young kids one being 11 months old and wife of a husband who has recently been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Blood Cancer (Leukaemia). As we were in the verge of settling in regional Victoria (Albury) with two young kids in hope for a better Australian life, all of our dreams were shattered when doctors read out the report of my husband diagnosed with an aggressive form of blood cancer just a week ago (May 8th, 2019). This was the last thing me or my husband would have thought we would have to worry of besides day to day challenges as young couples in Australia which all of you know involves paying bills of the family of four trying to get on with life. As I am a mother of two young kids, I stayed home looking after their needs as my husband worked being the sole income earner. Since the diagnosis, we were forced to move to Melbourne as there was no treatment available in Albury. Treatment is currently underway for this aggressive disease, and at the moment life has thrown challenges at us more than we can cope with. I now have to worry about moving to a new accommodation close to the hospital in Melbourne, paying rent in Albury as we are in a lease agreement, organising my elder daughter’s school and baby sitter, and not to mention the requirements for my husband’s medical needs. Although there has been lots of support from family and friends it’s never enough in this difficult situation. The list of problems at the moment feels infinite in addition to me being the sole caretaker of my husband and kids. Doctors have also advised me that it would take 4 to 5 months of Chemo Therapy and a further 8 months of rest, in the best case scenario. Due to all these challenges, I am seeking out to my extended community and friends in hope for financial assistance that will enable us to deal with these challenges. While the doctors are trying their best to cure my husband of this evil disease, I feel that this support will relieve my husband’s accumulated stress that he has been hiding. I would love to give my husband the best chance to fight this disease, with him knowing that we do not have immediate financial stress. I thank you all for your love, support and kindness.
