22.01.2022 Commonly Asked Question: Should I do Metafit Everyday? Doing Metafit or any other form of true HIIT daily will quickly lead to fatigue, soreness and other sign...s of over-reaching. During active Metafit intervals youre pushing your body to near maximum effort. Such efforts are exhausting to your body and necessitate a greater degree of recovery time compared to an equal amount of steady state cardio. Your body doesnt recover swiftly from exercise of such high intensity. During the recovery period after a Metafit workout, your metabolic rate stays revved up for hours, and some experts say days. Thats because your body has to work hard to return your body to normal. During this time, muscles resynthesize phosphocreatine, the fuel source they use at the start of intense exercise. Plus, your body temperature has to come down, your heart and breathing rate has to drop and stress hormone levels have to fall. In addition, you have to breathe harder to repay the oxygen debt you incurred. Thats a lot of extra work your body has to do. Imagine if you asked it to do that every day. The reality is you dont NEED to do Metafit every day, assuming youre really ramping up the intensity during the active intervals. One of the things that makes Metafit so appealing is the fact you dont have to do it every day. How often should you do Metafit? Two to three times a week works best for most people. Doing daily Metafit wont give your muscles adequate time to recover or your body time to completely return to homeostasis. If you feel you can do Metafit every day, ask yourself if youre really working hard enough when youre engaged in an interval routine. Metafit isnt moderate intensity cardio separated by rest intervals. If you do it this way, you wont get the same degree of post exercise after burn or improvements in your anaerobic energy system.

20.01.2022 How to get the most out of a Metafit workout: Leave the chat for after the class: A Metafit workout should be intense enough that you cannot chit chat during, i...t's truly is an individual workout. Maximum intensity, this level is depends on your fitness level, but keep pushing harder until you reach your edge! Dont do it everyday: Like any exercise, it is imperative to give the body time to recover. We recommend that you only do Metafit three times a week. Between those days you can rest, or focus on strength. Strength is a great way to build lean muscle and reduce injury. Constantly work on form: To maximise the benefits of any exercise and avoid injury, it is critical that you continuously work on form. Listen and watch your Metafit coach carefully, regress if technique suffering due to fatigue. Fuel up (eat clean) and don't give up!!

04.01.2022 If you are in Sydney and in any way interested in, or serious about, kettlebell training, then get onto these guys!! They know their stuff inside out and back to front, seriously!! Quite a few months back I did a bit of an online search for kettlebell training and instructor certifications. I came across StrongFirst and my jaw literally dropped as I was reading about the SFG (StrongFirst Girya) Level 1 cert, and the recommended training that must precede it. I say 'must' be...cause I mean just that. This is not a certification that one goes to and gains a coaching certificate at the end of the day regardless. There are far more people who FAIL the cert at the first attempt than pass it, and that is what attracted me to it. At the end of the day nothing worthwhile is ever easy, and this cert will definitely be the hardest thing, mentally and physically, that I have ever attempted. I am a bit less than 5 weeks out and my training, with the massive help of Peter from the Sydney Kettlebell Club, is progressing well (I think lol). Pete is a StrongFirst Instructor who has walked the walk and has been a huge help with my training and preparation. If you want to learn how to use kettlebells the right way, see these guys. There is no if's, and's or but's about it. If you think you can do it, and work hard to achieve it, you will do it! It all starts with your thoughts....

That's where true commitment kicks in. Remember why you wanted to do it in the first place, remember your goal! Take that step, get over that mental hurdle and I promise you that you won't ever look back. It will be hard, there will be sweat, cursing, tears and times that you want to give up.
