23.01.2022 We’ve all seen a kangaroo, but have you seen a tree kangaroo? The Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo is a very rare sight. They can only be found in Tropical North Queensland, and as their name suggests, they often reside high-up in the trees but also can be seen on the ground. Sadly, they are a near-threatened species, so we are incredibly fortunate to have a family of these remarkable animals living on the tea estate outside the tea rooms. We can’t guarantee it of course, but next time you come for a cup of tea, you could be rewarded with a sighting! Tag someone who you think would love to see these remarkable creatures.

22.01.2022 Due to the unforeseen weather conditions from Tropical Cyclone Kimi, our Nerada Tea Room will be closed today. We hope to open again tomorrow, but we will keep you updated. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Stay safe.
