25.01.2022 As Lions, a number of our club members volunteered to road marshal again at this years Gold Coast Marathon. It was a long 7 hours to be standing alone at our post which consisted of either an intersection along the course or the driveway of a high rise building. Our duty was simply to stop any traffic that tried to enter the roadway while the race was happening. A long day it was, but a perfect opportunity to snap some photos.
23.01.2022 Rod Butler and friend Izzy continue to support Lions fund raising by collecting cans for us to cash in. 50kg of cans were collected on this particular occasion and we filled an entire skip bin at the scrap metal yard.
21.01.2022 Lion Darren Miller just sent me this image of the basket of soft toys he has donated to the Nerang Ambulance Station. It's the little things like this that shouldn't go unrecognised. Thanks Darren, the children will surely appreciate this deed.
